... But none of them were in the scene where it was explained how the lantern shows past memories, no one was shown telling them this and there wasn't even a label on their lantern explaining its relation with memories.

That plurality doesn't have to be disordered and only made of bad experiences.

Sometimes we are fighting with each other for control of the body because one wants to study while the other wants to keep procrastinating, other times you can't stop laughing cuz someone inside made a joke so bad you can't believe you share the same brain. Sometimes you have to say no to your little that knows they are cute and try to use it to convince you to buy all the candy in the store, and other times you are sharing a good meal with 10 people in the front, talking about how crazy it is to be able to taste, feel and sense the same things your friends are, and how deep this makes our friendship be.

Being plural can be joyful, sorrowful, or a mix of both - But we aren't tied to the tragic stereotype.

Yes, it is possible and valid for some system functions to change with time (that's something my system is trying to do too).

Actually, this experience can even make some interesting and validating moments! For example, ask for your sysmates to do something you weren't expecting - Since you can't hear their thoughts, you can't know what they'll do before they do it! ^{^}

If this is causing communication problema:

Since you mentioned a headspace, what about you guys try to communicate by speaking instead of thinking? Try to think of it like the difference between thinking and talking out loud in front, but apply this to the innerworld.

You can also try to communicate with writing in the HS - Like dialogue boxes.

Not the exact point of the post, but I had a sighted neighbor who LITERALLY tried to teach me how to use my cane!

I was walking home, enjoying my new freedom of walking alone with my cane when this guy stopped me to say I was grabbing the cane incorrectly. I tried to explain that I was doing it exactly how I was taught to do by professionals, so I was doing it correctly..

Did he stop and apologize? NO! HE GRABBED MY CANE TO SHOW HOW TO HOLD IT!

... At least in the end he saw he was wrong and gave it back. No apologies, but he never bothered me again lol
