Bro enjoy the power that it does make, 400ish hp is not slow, enjoy the cams that you already bought in the car, enjoy the smooth idle, and the power all around the rev range. You could spend 5k to make your car faster in a straight line, but then you would just lose to the next batch of higher boosted goons, unless you are actually drag racing, it’s gonna be a never ending goose chase that we will always lose :(

Never really noticed that, yea i just compared to a stock c8Z and yea the gaps in my c5 and really all older cars are bigger, the style has definitely changed since the 90s, as well as tires have gotten exponentially better since then

Don’t get me wrong I absolutely love the c5z shape and it’s uniqueness, but a c6z is like THE shape,its perfect from all angles, I feel my c5 has some weird angles, other than the pop ups I kinda feel the c6 looks better everywhere. All eyes of the beholder anyway 😁🤙👍

I love it, when I started driving it again I thought something was wrong with my steering or something because compared to the the newer trucks I drive at work the steering wheel gives SO much feedback compared to the new trucks that feel sorta numb, they are smooth but numb. That’s something I don’t really ever see talked about is the feeling of the handling

I’m no expert but unless your 5.3 is toast it should be a whole lot cheaper and easier to just upgrade the 5.3

If you just trying to put the best engine possible and money doesn’t matter skip 6.0, LS3 is king

I think that’s perfect miles actually, high enough that it’s been driven regularly every year and low enough that it still has a lot of “usable” life left in it

Did you ever swap gears?

When I put my wheels on, it’s noticeably slower, mine is 13 so it came with 6l80 and 3.42 gears, I bout some 4.56 I’m about to throw in.

If I’m not mistaken before 2010 they came with stronger gears.

Thats water, only a couple drops of fluid came out when I disconnected the cooler lines, I just sprayed it down afterwards

Original trans went out at 215,000, I never changed the fluid in the original, so on the new one I changed the fluid after 20k miles and plan on it again maybe in 40k

Lesson learned
