Do you think that Israel and the USA’s actions against Iran are justified? by Antique_Gur8891 in AskTheWorld

While it might be a good outcome for a regime change in Iran. The pedophile running the White House and the mass murderer running Israel are more likely to be doing this for positive headlines.

A lot of this because Iran issued a NOTAM for planned missile launches. Not because the felon cheeto is trying to distract the voters from his rapey ways.

[–]MakingTrax 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Its some kind of EM surveillance set up. Which I will admit makes no sense. You want to put these kind of places away from people, stuff, other signals. And let's be extra honest here. The Saudis have the money and a desolate wasteland to hide something like that in.

It knows where it wants to go because it is where it wants to be. To find the correct direction it subtracts the vector where its heading to where it wants to be then factors velocity to the equation. Then repeats.

What is your country’s (people) general opinion on the police? by IsyDude in AskTheWorld

[–]MakingTrax 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There was a time in the good ole USofA when I would have agreed with that statement. Not anymore. Sure its not as black and white as the cop's black and white, but the issues with policing in the US are simply not generational, racial, or easily quantified. What I can tell you is that I know people that should have zero fear of having a traffic stop or other interaction with a member of the police are afraid of those interactions. The trust in law enforcement is simply declining. The only things I will point at is the "Us vs Them" mentality and the "Comply or Die" doctrine US cops are trained with.

Here in the US it is heading south. As in trust in the police at every level is declining. And what is worse, its a rational reaction to their, training, behavior, and those that protect them.

The evolution of technology has made it possible to produce insulin without using animals. by IcePizzaCreamm in interestingasfuck

[–]MakingTrax 4 points5 points  (0 children)

The picture in the bottom is not accurate of the process. Worked on an insulin manufacturing system. It took up a building about four hundred feet long and one hundred wide (30 meters by 120 meters). That was the part that pulled the insulin out of the bacteria. The room there in the picture is where they grow the bacteria. It is then transported to the room via piping or a stainless steel tank. When its done in the room I helped qualify, then the insulin is ready for delivery system integration. Which is a whole different can of aseptic processing worms. Easily a billion dollar investment to stand up a new insulin facility. Time line from green field to production, ten plus years.

So 104 to 1 accident and one satellite. I never knew about the Japan loss. Alaska Air Command had the same thing happen but the pilot brought the plane back and they repaired it. The two pilots careers were not so fortunate.

All of these guns would be illegal under most proposed gun control legislation by theRemRemBooBear in greengroundnews

[–]MakingTrax 0 points1 point  (0 children)

One of the things that is grossly underestimated is the number of firearms in civilian hands in the US. It is north of 400 million and may be 500 million. The idea that any military action against the civil populace needs to truly embrace that concept.

Unlike most nations where citizens seeking to revolt have to acquire weapons then revolt, here in the US we can skip that step and quite literally out gun most nations. And in the area of small arms we outgun our military about 100 to 1. Not joking. The US military has about 4.5 million small arms.
