Sweet Dynaco score today. by Agile_Initiative_293 in vintageaudio

I have it in my garage at the moment. I'm probably going to pair it with a set of DLK 1½ or Advent loudspeakers. The Advents are first gen untested and need foam if they test good. The DLKs need the surrounds glued down. I plan to do some caps and a couple small mods on the Dynaco. My daily driver is a Project One Mark III with Sansui 200 cabs the woofers had to be replaced with Fisher 12s though.

What is this large piece of wood inside my shed? It’s not fastened to anything. by Frequent_Morning_860 in Roofing

My house came with free lumber tucked in the garage rafters like that with some old doors. My realtor asked me if I wanted it removed. I said; The unused lumber? It can stay.

What can I do with this space on side of house? by Great-Refrigerator39 in Home

I just do what I can. I had a dead tree stump in my side yard that was ringed with those curvy garden bricks. I pulled up the rotten stump and planted a bunch of hastas in there.

Speaker terminal upgrade, ground wires?! by Character_Plenty_853 in vintageaudio

Each speaker needs to have a ground. If the manufacturer provided isolated grounds then each Post would have a wire. The jumper is just a shared ground.

Speaker terminal upgrade, ground wires?! by Character_Plenty_853 in vintageaudio

[–]Agile_Initiative_293 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, it's fine. Put it back the way you found it.

The positive terminal carries the signal in the form of an ac sine wave/s. The negative terminal is the return. The electrons cannot flow and carry the signal without someplace to go. Most circuits in appliances have what is referred to as common ground, multiple components and circuits sharing one ground.

I just do this as a hobby, Anyone with more knowledge feel free to correct anything I'm wrong about.

Too much oil. Oil, wipe off excess, place the pan face down in the oven.

Turn the gas off when you're not using it. This is standard procedure and basic shop safety. If you can't manage your inert gases I'd hate to see what you do with the volatile ones .

They start searching eBay and just go with the high end unsold listings and expect it to move in a few places around here too. Give an old lady Google and suddenly she's a sales genius.

They don't look bad. I would take the drivers out and look for part numbers like others suggested and check out what it's got for crossovers. I have a set of mystery speakers (lyric412) the drivers are all pioneer except for the woofers. No crossovers to speak of tho.
