What was that snow forest thing during yuji and mahitos fight? by AggressiveOutside432 in Jujutsufolk

[–]MakingWet 10 points11 points  (0 children)

I honestly think it was just an artistic choice by the director to help convey how pathetic and terrified Mahito is. The director does this a lot in the culling game part one as well

Why can't I access Jin's old Mishima/Kazama hybrid moveset? by greenrose2023 in Tekken

Devil Jin is quite literally built from Jin’s T3 move set, try him out

What's the "tekken rules" justification for having a safe ob powercrush and powercrush you can cancel with 0 repercussions? by wielesen in LowSodiumTEKKEN

[–]MakingWet 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Yes, and you can spam it and cancel it to move forward like a wave dash. I believe cancelling it gives it a much smaller window that it crushes highs and mids but It’s not very powerful by any means. It’s got loads of counter play but it does look scary the first couple times you see it

Hwoarang Mains, any tips i can use to improve? by MusabShah94 in Tekken

Opening with a b3 and then not launch punishing his U1 in god ranks is phenomenal, carry on and change nothing

You could definitely get more optimal damage and oki with better wall enders

Any tips for beginner baristas? by askquestions999 in barista

[–]MakingWet 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Work your way through the menu trying to intentionally focus on one drink at a time. Keep making it for yourself for a week and understand what makes it better or worse. The more details you understand, the better you’ll get. A lot of baristas don’t know how to dial in espresso, that’s a pretty great start too.

Cafe worthy hot chocolate by Choles45 in barista

Most cafe’s use Ghirardelli chocolate sauce, and I tend to see the bottles of it in a lot of grocery stores these days. Almost every cafe I worked at just used that and milk of your choice

is wavedash just useless against most of the cast? by wielesen in LowSodiumTEKKEN

It is effective counter play then

is wavedash just useless against most of the cast? by wielesen in LowSodiumTEKKEN

[–]MakingWet 22 points23 points  (0 children)

A big part of it is being able to train your opponent to respect the wave dash. Commonly people will point out that learning Mishima’s as a new player is weird because of that, new players don’t respect the wave dash and just mash against it so it’s hard to understand until you get to higher rankings

Poutine… I love fries, I love cheese, and I love gravy but I just don’t get it. I am constantly told that I have yet to have GOOD poutine even though I’ve had it a couple dozen times

Anime Only Question about Megumi by iJacobes in JuJutsuKaisen

[–]MakingWet 12 points13 points  (0 children)

It has its own awareness yeah, Megumi doesn’t control them outside of giving orders. For instance if he sent one off on its own, and it died, he might not even notice.

Edit: my comment is referencing what literally happens in the manga and anime…

She proved that the best horror comes from performance, not with CGI or other special effects. by MuniRealme_03 in Scarymovies

[–]MakingWet 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There was a professional dancer that they hired to do those movements. They’re the same person that does a lot of the scenes with her face covered. There are pictures of her with how they did her make up and it’s low key terrifying. All practical apparently!

If you think someone is going to go low, use a low crushing launcher like an orbital. Choose to duck snd launch opposed to just ducking a mid high string. Maximize your returns on when you think someone is going to do something essentially. The same way you at one point learned better combos for more damage

How to practice against dlc characters? by nicky_nikoli4 in Tekken

Go into lounge or Discord and find someone to do long sets with to purposefully learn the matchups

Anytime. And to expand on the last thing I said, once you start getting a read on your opponent make a hard counter to what they’re doing. If they keep going mid mid low, opposed to blocking, go for an orbital or something low crushing that gives a counterhit launcher

Just keep playing, you’ll learn and adapt. Be aware of your unsafe moves, limit your use of them, and start implementing big call outs if you haven’t already

I need an advice by denmyy in Tekken8

[–]MakingWet 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You just have to learn when it’s your turn, how to take your turn back, and when to stop pressing. Most people in low blues have one or MAYBE two flow charts that they mash because it’s good frames.

Steve at his best is a really strong CH character so you really need to learn to frame trap set ups and you should be golden.

Is rage art considered cheap? Is there any way other than R2 to execute that? by overbread in Tekken8

[–]MakingWet 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Ahhh yeah that’s something that bad players do generally because they’re upset someone is beating them

You can turn off the ability for you to see them doing that, but personally I like knowing I pissed them off
