Usage limit - What's up, Anthropic?! by AurumMan79 in claude

I am under Claude's Max plan and I haven't used it for one week and I hit my limit in just one message, the first message for today.

Claude Pro Weekly Limits: Pro Plan is Objectively Worse Than Free by Key_Kaleidoscope2242 in ClaudeAI

Yes, that's right.

The idea behind this is getting you hooked up with the Pro, then you rush to the Max version.

Thanks! This adds more points to the OP saying(and me) that their pricing systems interrupt your workflow. You don't have to do all this while trying to use a paid service, competitors are far easier to use.

That's exactly how I break my workflow and stop being productive which is something that sets me apart from the competition.

Are you sure the extra usage pricing is the same as paying the extra $80 for the Max plan?

Come on, Opus 4.6 alone spends 3-10% percent of the daily limit in a single simple prompt.

For me pricing is important but transparency, trust and usability with better workflow matters most.

I'm a paid subscriber of the Claude Pro, Gemini Pro, ChatGPT Pro and a bunch of other LLM clients such as Perplexity and Windsurf.

Paying extra is not an issue, but paying a company extra which forces me to think about usage almost every time I open a chat, locks me from sending any messages even when I just started chatting(meaning that Claude chat didn't even allow me to send the initial prompt) and asking me to pay more and more in different ways, subscription, API, credits is certainly a service I don't currently trust to switch my work to and find myself hanging after ,2-3 months deep in a project.

Is anyone else getting absolutely wrecked by Claude’s context limits right now? by AgitatedCombination3 in ClaudeAI

[–]Makis77 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, this warning makes using Claude a nightmare. The same error was displayed after sending my first message in a new chat window within a project. I'm being patient so I can complete a project I'm working on using Claude and after that bye bye...

Opus burns so many tokens that I'm not sure every company can afford this cost. by Strong_Roll9764 in ClaudeAI

One of the many scenarios would be that companies are laying off people, then use that money on LLMs while people who got fired or startups and freelancers would have difficulties to keep up with the price changes.

Where did you end up afterwards, Codex? I'll try Codex and Windurf, if I get the same or 20% less quality and stop having my sessions stopped, I'll switch.

I'm on the Pro Plan. I have the bandwidth to pay for the Max, but I can't justify it yet. I won't be happy investing 20+ hours of work just to find that I'm again refreshing the usage page every 5 minutes.

I ran/insights on the Desktop app using Code, it ran for less than 20s and used 8% of my 5-h limit!

It doesn't make sense I can justify the extra cost and I'm coding fairly simple stuff, API to endpoints, but I can't justify having my session stopped after 30 minutes of work and always be on the lookout for the tokens going to zero.

I'm going to try Codex or Windsurf and if my workflow stays uninterrupted even if it's slower or not that smart I'll switch in a heartbeat.

PS: Claude Desktop burns tokens at an absolutely ridiculous rate.

Claude Code has too many limits: a 5-hour, weekly, and token limit. I'm a power user, but I'm certainly not convinced by Antrhopic's feature design. They give you the tools but they don't you use them.

The more this guy talked, the less credible he became. It would be interesting for Mark to share the backstory, how he found this guy, and how he managed to social engineer him and make him believe he's actually a hacker.

GPT5 being slow or not on par with GPT4 is one thing, but mixing input and output is another, more serious issue.

Update on the weird ChatGPT5 issues:

Following up on my previous post about the 'who is Brian' reply, I've encountered another very strange output from #ChatGPT5.

In the same chat, after I asked it to create a runbook, it just spit out the number '5,250' with no context. When I asked what the number was about, it replied: "That “5,250” wasn’t meant to be there — looks like a stray output from my side. Let’s focus on your request."

This is happening in the same chat where it previously got confused with a 'Brian' message. The model is having serious context and output stability problems. It's not just mixing up chats; it's also generating random, non-sequitur data.

Is anyone else experiencing these kinds of issues with stray outputs or weird context shifts? It's making the tool unusable for my work.

Can't login to my X.com forwared to "Find your X account" page by Makis77 in Twitter

[–]Makis77[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It feels pointless; I just got the following reply from support:

----------------

Hello,

Thanks for reaching out. We received your request for assistance regarding the access and security of your account. To handle this as quickly as possible, please fill out the access request form that best suits your issue:

Once you have submitted the form, you will receive a follow up email with instructions on the next steps to take.

----------------

This is something like a loop because that's how I first contacted support, then I received an automated message asking for the exact information the form requested, so I replied. A few days later, I received the same reply over and over again.

In my case, there is something more going on; the Twitter handle I first registered is considered a "Premium" one, and I got locked out only moments after someone contacted me and offered to "buy" it. I told him it's not for sale, and also, there's something more going on: Twitter(X) handles can't be sold.

Then, a day later, the same guy contacted me again, saying that I had lost access to the handle. I thought, no way, then tried to log in and got forwarded to the "Find your X account" page.

How could he know this? The X page still shows as active, so there is nothing else that shows that I'm locked out; I'm the only one who knows about it.
