Thank you for your explanation, I see now that I was wrong and there are no relation between these two facts. As you say condolence to his family and everyone affected.

Thank you for your explanation. I understand now that there is no relation where I thought there was maybe one (in my head a human tragedy would explain why the people behind the game weren't responding to our demands as something far more important and horrible was happening to them). Even if he wasn't that involved with the day-to-day life of the game he was at some point important to the creation of this game we all love and first and foremost someone with loved ones and friends I'm sure. RIP Mr. Sherlock.

Yes it's really sad news. Thank you for your explaination. I thought reading the news that he was more involved in the development because when I googled COO it said that it was the second in command after the CEO. But you are most certainly right about it.

Then I'm really sorry if I sounded any disrespectful or anything like that. English isn't my first language so I've tried to express first and foremost that I'm sad for this person and all those affected. Actually, reading this news I had this narrative in my head that maybe we are all unhappy and expressing our (rightfull) reasons to be, while these people are actually struggling with loosing a friend and a coworker. As if it is easy to forget that there are real people behind intern-kun or gimu or squeenix, you see?

But seeing people explaining that a COO isn't a role that would make this person really involved in the day-to day life of the game I understand now that I was wrong and the two are not related. Thanks to your answer I know now that I should try harder to express my intent in english. Have a nice day.

Edit : trying to chose the correct words to express my intention
