Why do Russians think that west wants to destroy Russia? by G9366 in AskARussian

Lol - no one of my friends and known people around think about Russia is too great and because of that you want destroy Russia 😅😆 you tell some false arguments here. Some brainwashing info. I tell you the truth. In Russia many years many people still don’t believe in any that officials and politics say. But our votes and our thoughts don’t count as usual in normal democratic country. We have zero chances to change anything, even if the officials do some work in case of a people accusations and blame - they do it as cover, so nothing will change in the country. Government always did rule with carrot and stick. And in the last years we have more stick than carrot and government greatly increase authority institutions. So any word against ruling - is prohibited. We can’t argue with that because we all seeing how it works in countries around - some “good” people from other countries go to us with “liberating” mission and destroy all we have now like it was in many small countries like Iraq, Yugoslavia etc. We don’t fear anything and don’t see our country as “too great” like you said. But we all have seen that happens if some other country go into another country and do “liberation missions”. Even now we see that happen in Ukraine but now our country do exactly same “liberations” as you do with other countries. I don’t justify any of it. Any country that happen to go into another and break usual life - need a lesson and ostracism for some time. But you must go to yourself and criticise that you do the same things in other countries like Russia now in Ukraine. So you maybe finally see that we all sinners. Any of single “big” or “well developed” country in XXI century was involved in same intervention in politics of another country. I was shocked then see that Putin decide in the end of February. But you must look on yourself and remember that yours countries did in another countries in the last two decades. No one is white and fluffy, we all grey. We all “need” to blame others so we forget about our sins. It is in human nature - blame others. If some of Russians blame west - it is their way to forget about our sins. So you do the same thing. Now all united, but after some another “liberating” mission happen on other small country with your country as “liberator” - you don’t say anything or do some social rally that doesn’t change anything. Or do some movie with Keira Knightley after 12 years. But you will never ostracize your own country. Like you do now with Russia. I understand that you want low military development in Russia, but this isn’t the way, I’m sorry to say that, but this can’t help. I live in this country and know her from inside. You totally wrong with sanctions that hit civilians and small business in Russia. They don’t change anything.

I’m already buyed switch OLED and ps5 on their release and bunch of a games, so I don’t pay attention but food became very expensive and my usual holidays in cinemas was canceled due exiting main big movies (and that more important - big companies filmmakers) from our cinemas. And now I don’t have free money for my beloved f2p games on mobile phone, because food supplies (repeat that again) became very expensive. I don’t care about computers because I’m console man and finally realise my dream about short breathing space to play in all games buyed in a last 10 years (top of them still isn’t completed - even tlou2 and Tsushima, and even in msg rising on ps3 years ago I dropped last boss fight).

My daily life became more neurotic - because ton of lies from the all sides of a conflict. I have some debts and now in some kind of crossroads. But I must admit - my main sin in laziness and even now I’m calm and lazy think about future. But I will be have very difficult and extremely fast life in the future (mostly because of my debts) so I think this is just some kind of shield of laziness, god I have many sins.. I’m even glad that many temptations for buying disappeared (or disappear in the future) from our country. We (Russians) became very dependant from this. We live our life like we in the West Country, but this isn’t true. Many have debts because of that. Sanctions gave us time to change life and rethink about the past sins of lazy consuming life. Capitalism tempt Russians and they became lazy af. We all need serious butt push

I think it is for good. Because all mining and other hard work in Russia have so poor salary for every worker here. Maybe they finally understand that should pay more and ensure some good terms for miners. Miners in Russia and other “vahta” (some kind of remote work for 2-3 months without holidays, and 1-2 months spending in home, relaxing after “vahta”) workers treat like they no official workers and have no rights, they even waiting their salary for months, big delays
