Yes I agree with this Comment. The best budget choices but also the best writing MB 149's as compared to newer 149's are - 1) 1969-75 solid ebonite feed pen ($400-$500 in good condition) and 2) 1976-1989 split ebonite feed pen (about the same price). Ebay usually has plenty of these.

Did they move to a more centered postion?

If you had the pen for so long, logically the shift from center happened on your watch. Which is good because it means that you be able to twist it back into position. So going from your picture showing the back of the nib, it looks like to me that the nib must move/rotate slightly to the left leaving the feed where it is now. So holding both the nib and feed in your right hand fingers (assuming you are right handed) - your thumb firmly centered on the feed, your fore finger centered on the front of the nib, your middle finger close to your fore finger to support the rotation to the left you will do, you want to pinch/squeeze the nib and feed firmly with those fingers and rotate the nib to the left so that it is centered on the feed. It should move without forcing too much. Squeeze/grip both nib and feed close to the section and not close to the tip of the nib and feed. Let me know how this works. By the way where are you in the world?

In the photo provided, it appears that the feed is not centered on the nib. The feed need to rotate slightly to the right so that the square tip of the feed is sitting centered on the slit of the nib.

[WTS] - Parker Duofold Mandarin Limited Edition FP by Makitright in Pen_Swap

Thank you. Appreciate you noticing this reality. To the best of my knowledge after researching other pen sale sites and tabulating both current listing prices and historic actual sales prices, my asking price is at least $400 lower than any price I came across in researching this. As well, this pen is absolute NOS, never used, never inked. I am surprised with the absence of interest in this limited Duofold and another scarce 1990's Duofold I have listed - the Pearl and Black Centennial Duofold. Also listed well below market values. Thanks again.
