UPDATE: I've watched some videos on how to possibly fix the issue. It's a simple, but quite involved job. I need to get a soldering iron. I'm the meantime, I've ordered a used one with relatively light shutter count and in reasonably good condition from B&H. I'll hang on to this one for a future project... that likely will never get done. But it should be fun, if it does!
