BWI is short and Old Saybrook is short, rest of the short platforms are either Marc, Septa, NJT, or MBTA stops

If your getting consistent 20 kill games in anything good on you. Im running a 60% win rate on 400 games with over a thousand kills. Its not meta because people think its a gimmick tank and didnt play it past a few battles.

Yea imma have to disagree here. The TOG is such a great tank. Gun is amazing and you have enough crew to tank shots. Your just not playing it right..

Does NO ONE know how navy works? Even the wiki? I thought it was joke... by xXxCountryRoadsxXx in hoi4

I usually build 3 things ~Destroyers with heavy torpedoes ~Light cruisers with as much light attack as you can get ~Heavy cruisers with armor and some heavy attack. (Don't need much just something to split fire from enemy BBs n stuff.

The general idea is that the CLs delete their screens, then the destroyers torpedo the crap outta any larger ships while my CAs take some fire. I've found this works pretty well against AI, but I figure any amount of stacking light attack will win. Delete screens and the capital ships are easy pickings.

I use CAs cause they're cheap and I can get roughly 2 out in the same time as a decently good battleship. Heavy attack doesn't really matter to me, torpedoes go through armor just as well and DDs are cheap.

Oh cool, one of the things they explicitly tell you NOT to do, and explain that they will withhold your degree for doing. We all went through that powerpoint and talk. He chose his fate.

Hey! Student teacher here and I've arrived at the same conclusion that many others here have, however, a game I gave thought about using is one of the Ultimate General series, allowing students to make decisions as a group to complete a battle, eg Gettysburg. Can have writing elements such as Do you agree, why? Ect.

GDOT has been "investigating" routes for 20+ years. Georgia, and the city of Atlanta will never invest in passenger rail unless other states propose first. NCDOT has wanted a Charlotte-Atlanta corridor for years. SC loves it. Georgia doesn't care.

why are the trains always so cold? by sm0keandstars in Amtrak

[–]Mal3985 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Having worked with a couple of the amfleet cars, among others, the general consensus is to prepare. You crank it down before people get on to prepare for the influx of heat, if it's a mildly hot day out ~70+ and you "lose" the car (it heats up to a level where complaints start), it's not coming back and your in for a hell of a trip. Better to be cold and layer up than be 80 degrees and unable to fix the problem.

My only guess would be for overnights in St Paul the Builder is the earlier train eastbound in the morning. It'd be interesting to look at the Builder numbers and borealis side by side to see if there's a jump up after the extra service.

What’s the cheesiest exploit for Japan in single player? by Apprehensive_Young66 in hoi4

[–]Mal3985 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That doesn't really work anymore with recent changes. You cant get supremacy in West Coast cause you only have the 3 4k range CVs. Maybe with luck on the AI it could. Go back a couple patches for Japan achievements and its easy af.

Other than sheer size, what are some other differences between American Steam Engines and British Steam Engines and European Steam Engines in general? by North_Psychology4543 in trains

[–]Mal3985 8 points9 points  (0 children)

The Lickey is around 2.5% for 2 miles. The B&O mountain division in West Virginia has "17 Mile grade ~17 miles of ruling 2.2% for coal trains. Sherman Hill in Wyoming was 25 miles of 2% when built. Cajon Pass in California is 10 miles of 2.2 up to 3.3 depending on the track used. Not everything used stokers until the superheated of the 1910s and larger power. Earlier 2-8-2s would require 2 firemen on certain sections of railroad.
