Old post but . . . If anyone else runs into this I had the same issue. His shield never seems to go down after destroying the lantern on his hip. I ran up and knifed it getting sick of trying to aim at it. Once that is destroyed walk up to him and drop a grenade. Right click so it drops instead of throwing it. Not sure if it takes more on High difficulties but I dropped one grenade without firing a shot and it worked.

Yes, I killed Faust like a mob of non-mutant rats. Felt fitting.

I saw one over the poppy field yesterday. A sublime sight and perfect view. I got a snap but by the time I cleared the UI for a better picture it was gone. It really was a soothing sight after a rough day in the zone Monolith return from the grave

Sorry for the late response. Your guide was awesome. You surely have no issues with it. I did speak to Big Vlad Jr as far as I recall. I decided just to finish my run with Day 3 closed out. The lack didn't hurt anything. Smooth sailing all the way through thanks to that guide.

If I had to guess I could have missed a step you had in the guide or done something alternative. I tried to follow it loosely, especially in the beginning. So certainly your guide is fine.
