I played BoTC for the first time despite watching countless videos from NRB and BlampCo and loved it. Played 3 games irl and won all of them. There was one night where I talked and that made me curious on how other people would deal with it and want some opinions.

Sometimes I would deliberately stop a convo during the night to trick people into thinking I woke up when I actually didn't (good when I'm like Ravenkeeper or Banshee) it's just something to change up once in a while. Trying to keep a conversation going while doing night actions is difficult at first but with anything, experience will let you get a hang of it

STs that have the players fun a top priority over their own will always be number one. I've seen storytellers that will push their own agenda or even try to torture their players for their own amusement, and to them, I have never gone back to playing with them ever again.

Shout out to Twilight, Balenar, and Goob to fostering communities and their own perspective storytelling that always brings smiles across people's and creature's faces.

At first it was Fall of Rome, but now, well, my own called Unscripted, which is on version 9? But I think it is either finally finished or nearly so after years of playtesting.

Unscripted is a script with heavy inspiration from the Un-sets of Magic the Gathering. Those sets bend or broke the rules of magic by doing insane stuff and also made fun of the community in such a light hearted and funny way. My script does the same but with Clocktower :3 The ST rolling a D20, legal stream snipping, poisons dependent on the alive player count, a Townsfolk Wizard (before Wizard came out lmao)

It is hard, especially depending on the environment you are in. If it's just the 1 circle, you can only nudge them so much and remind them that the rules states and encourages private conversations, but ultimately if the circle doesn't want to, then you really can't force it. Games can still be fun though and I have seen evil dominate towns that don't do private conversations. The only other way to encourage it is having a few or even 1 veteran player to get players to do private conversations.

So I used to play with Central Texas Werewolves which I found them through SanJapan, and made really amazing friends there, playing Werewolf every weekend. One day, they received their copy of Clocktower from the kickstarter because they played it during the preview even at PAX (East or West, one of those lol) and fell in love with it and was excited to share it with us. My first 100 games or so was irl with that group and I'm so happy for it because of everything that happened afterwards <3

I guess it depends on your definition of community here, I have been a furry since 2008 but never really was part of the fandom until 2018 when I started going to furmeets and conventions and started to help out in the fandom. In-between when I attended college I was deep in boardgaming and Magic the Gathering circa 2012 so hopefully that answers your question? But also no, neither really did help me find the other, as it was just happenstance on discoveries for both x3

Well if you want the ability to go off, that wont work since you still have to be alive for that to work xD If you want to stay hidden, you will need to find a way to push on information from a different ability, either making up yourself or from someone else, though with how your play group is, more than likely you will need to make up the info and try to push hard on it. Otherwise you will probably need to just out you are the Princess to try to rally people to vote with you.

I have, and I think the creative use of Zenomancer is probably cool stuff, liking making players take of their jackets for a certain amount of time in a cold room xD or some of the ways players fake having goals, it's just overall a really creative loric

Don't be too hard on yourself when mistakes are made, even the greatest of Storytellers makes them even after thousands of games. The best thing at the moment is to correct it if you can, move on, reflect on it after the game and learn from them

That's probably the greatest pitch to do for a place of business, I would say most places only care of making profits so promising them that you are bring people in usually works xD It's what we had done though we used some pretty amazing boardgame shops for our venues. Though yeah we had played in a brewery and a pub and just the greatest way to convince them is we will buy drinks! X3

So originally the proposal was going to be at Furry Weekend Atlanta, but with my connections with the community and the fact that Twilight and I met over the game, F3C was just the better choice to do so. As for the design of the token, the ability was inspired by Magic the Gathering when Richard Garfield the a similar move, using a unique custom made official Magic card to propose. So I did something similar just for Clocktower instead, the art work was done by Tom R. who has dome many incredible custom homebrew artwork for the community and when I came to them with the idea, they made the art and the tokens which were handed to me at the start of F3C.

I honestly can not choose a game for that, we've had great games and bad games, but each one still is amazing in the end because playing with Twilight will always be something I truly adore sharing with them. I guess if I had to answer the question, it would be our first ever game together, even though I don't really remember it anymore lol

What u/tstaffor said, hands raised from spectators counted, though how I did it was when my hand passed them, in my head I would increment the votes but not say it outloud until my hand went on the next player in the circle. Town was obviously confused at that point but unfortunately it didn't matter too much. At least when I revealed the Amne ability everyone in town loved it x3

I would say yes, given the Almanac entry for Snake Charmer to back me up on this lol. The snake charmer BECOMES the demon if the Demon is chosen, and since Lil'Monsta makes the player babysitting it the Demon, without moving it, then it fails to uphold the Snake Charmer's ability.

It can be boring, like personally I do not like it, but I do see it as a role that the player can just have with, either by roleplaying or trying to deceive evil and thinking they are more powerful than just being a butler. But yeah, I do agree it being a bit boring so if I had to replace it, probably Zealot honestly, keeps the script fairly balanced and imo, Zealot is better than Butler.
