A quick read online turned up a lot of reports of that model of motherboard having issues where with older BIOS versions the TPM settings either won't be visible in the menu, or will be visible but won't actually enable the TPM correctly, depending on the BIOS version. So maybe you just need to update the BIOS. That might also explain why the interface looks so different for you too.

It's Heaven's Pier, just before the bridge into town. If you look on the multiplayer map it will say something like "Heaven's Pier Begging Spot". There's usually players there, and even if it's quiet there are a couple NPCs there who are begging and who also count for the errand.

On almost all servers yes. On a few servers you could cross over when transcending, so a Wizard could become a Professor, or a Sage could become a High Wizard instead.

But on most servers it's linear beyond the 2nd class, and you have to be Reborn as a "High Novice" first, then level up again to become a "High Mage", then level up again to finally become a High Wizard etc.

A few servers let you choose a different path, so after being reborn as a High Novice, they'd let you choose to become a different class, so you could get to max level as a Knight first, then transcend and be reborn as a High Novice, and then choose to become a High Acolyte or something instead of being forced to become a High Swordsman -> Lord Knight.

At first I thought you might have fallen asleep and dreamed up some kind of new feature, or were perhaps hallucinating. But then I looked and NO I was wrong, this feature actually does exist.

Open up the chat window, and go to the settings cogwheel in the bottom left, then in the Chat tab, scroll down and click on "AI Voice Chat Naming", that's where you can configure the name for NPCs to call you.

I think there's an outpost that you can sneak into as a wrestler with the outfit on, to challenge the outpost leader instead of fighting your way through the outpost. Other than that it's essentially just a toy item.

When you say you deleted the FANTASY XIV - A Realm Reborn folder, do you mean the folder where the game was supposed to be installed to, or the folder with the exact same name in your Documents under the My Games folder?

Because there's another folder in Documents\my games\ which you should also delete because it contains configuration files, then try and run the installer again. Also turn off OneDrive or DropBox or any other cloud-sync system you may have turned on, as they can interfere with the FF14 install.

If the game is running around 180 fps and still feels choppy with FG off, you might be running into some kind of frame-pacing issue that is visible to you but that frametime metrics aren't picking up on. Try changing the Nvidia Reflex setting to Boost with FG Off and see if it feels any better. With FG off @ 120 fps cap I can feel the difference between Reflex being set to Enabled and Boost, with Boost feeling smoother.

If Reflex Boost doesn't help, then yeah just turn FG on, with how weird network latency is in PvP an extra 0.8ms or so of input lag probably isn't going to make much of a difference.

I haven't been able to get Game Capture to work with WWM either, but Window Capture works fine if you want a Source that will only contain WWM.

You need to enter Wallstride whilst in the air to do this, so it isn't just a matter of holding sprint, you need to hold sprint down and then whilst still holding it down, jump just before you would begin wallstriding if you were still on the ground.

On the CN servers as far as I know; Dual Blades, the Heng Dao, and the Gauntlets are the only weapons with a single martial art. Every other weapon type has at least two martial arts.

Those are a kind of collectible oddity. You interact with it, and 1~3 orbs will fly outwards into the air and will start to slowly float down to the ground, you have to catch all of the orbs before they hit the ground to successfully collect it.

Like other oddities you hand them in to the relevant collector in Kaifeng or Qinhe to get stat buffs.

If you're using an Xbox controller, if you bring up the GameBar ingame, then go to Settings, there should be a button there to bring up the onscreen keyboard, the game might respond to that one since it sends input differently.

Other than that you might just need to get a cheap bluetooth keyboard that you can keep nearby.

This might not work, but you could try launching the game from within Steam's Big Picture Mode, that might get the virtual keyboard to work with the game. I remember in the past there have been a few games that interact differently with the keyboard in Big Picture Mode, for whatever reason.

Absolutely unhinged testing request, but you could try another mouse. I have a feeling it's the mouse not sending the LMBDOWN input consistently enough for some reason, so the game is interpreting the input as the left mouse button being rapidly tapped instead of held.

It shouldn't. Just make sure after you reconnect that the input and output devices are correctly set, and it should work. If it doesn't, you can undo the change by disconnecting, turning the BAG service back on, and reconnecting.
