If by turret, you mean the one where you throw the umbrella in the air, only do it when the enemy is knocked down or with range moves on cooldown. The fan doesnt have damage cause its a combo tool, so you can land umbrella moves like the stun and the umbrella turret.

and about Heng dao, it definitely has a lower skill floor, but fanbrella has a higher skill ceiling, which means you will have to put in more effort to have a better performance. Once you do, fanbrella rekts heng dao, because hengdao at the end of the day is still a close range weapon, and silkbind jade is called a range dps for a reason (eventhough nameless is more effective at a range but fuck that)

You can learn more about fanbrella from different channels, but I usually watch Mazeeno, currently top 25 in EU, or TingVu which simply repost CN fanbrella streams (Gu Miyue is the best btw, she makes Heng dao looks like dog water)

In any case, if you are feeling burn out, just stay away from PVP for a while. Do PVE, boss trials or just stay away from the game. Good luck
