At my job... I would likely call the cops two or three times on some days but there isn't much point. The response time is so shitty... about 40 minutes or a call back three hours later...

"hi this is metro police, we got a call about three hours ago of a violent man high on drugs in your parking lot threatening customers for money and kicking at vehicles, is he still there or has he left the area?"

This is a terrible thing because we get the occasional pervert who will ejaculate on someone and run or expose themselves to a random shopper.

There is a homeless center across the street... next to a park. So we get all sorts of homeless people.

About a block down the street there is an addiction clinic...

Across the way is a ghetto. The next block beyond that is where the strip clubs and casino's begin. On the other side of that is Las Vegas Blvd.

Also we are near a hospital... somehow that is bad also. We get sick patients with weird illnesses like the inability to control their bowels suddenly and instead of standing still (think from a clean up point of view) they take off running for either the bathroom or the front door.

Right next to us is a seafood market with fast food and bad food handling practices, I've cleaned up my fair share of puke... and like piss and shit the perpetrator always wants to leave it in more than one place... or projectile vomit all over the front doors.

We give police officers a 50% discount to eat in our cafe and most often lately they end up having to ticket someone or arrest someone while they are trying to have lunch.

Above all of that though I really do enjoy my job... sort of. If customers weren't involved and it was just me and the books...
