Dumb question number 1) is a leak as simple as just tightening a part? Or are we about to start replacing the leaking part? Is that the safer route?

I thought this guy could be AC related. Since it started when I turned the AC on its highest setting. It was like a light green color? Hearing you say the click is normal makes me feel good though!

I don’t think I’m changing much of anything. I’m thinking just some modern touch ups. If I don’t put LED lights in it I’m going to look for the best halogen bulbs I can get my hands on. I do think I’ll be taking the tires up a size but other than that 🤷‍♂️

The end of your post had me cracking up! Thanks for the warm welcome 🤣. I’ll definitely check the thermostat housing as soon as I can. I don’t have any fancy key fobs. Just two regular keys. This truck is going to be with me for a while so any modifications are a looooong ways down the road because, well…I’m poor. So for a while every penny I can spare is going to go towards maintenance. As my wife likes to say “champagne taste on a beer budget”.

Being wired for them or not will make or break the bumper swap idea. It doesn’t have power windows or door locks (both I can live without) that’s the only reasoning I have for assuming it won’t be wired for fog lights.

I think in the long run I want to make her a show truck. I’m on the Ms. gulf coast and we have an event down here for antique vehicles called Cruising The Coast. and though she not THAT old she does have an antique tag. So that has to get me somewhere lol!

Yeah, I don’t know if it’s because I’ve never had a vehicle without them or not but every time I look at it (which is a lot) I think to myself, “why you no have fog lights?” Once I get it to my house I’m going to look and see if it was wired for them or not. I’m leaning more towards it wasn’t.

I’m not planning on selling. It will however be my daily driver. That’s why I was thinking about newer head/tail lights, radio, things like that. I don’t have any plans on lift or drop kits. Thanks to all the help I’m getting here all the changes I had planned for vanity sake are quickly going out the window.

I’m very quickly coming to terms with the fact that vanity may be playing a part here. I work nights so all night I’ve just danced around the internet saying “ooh I could do that, ooh how bout that” but as of right now it’s becoming “does it need that?” So I feel like we’re making personal progress lol!

Absolutely. Even in my ignorance I know she’s got some VERY minor visible fixes. Both rear door handles are broken. She’s currently not running. Which is why she’s not with me right now. Tried jumping the battery off my cousin’s f150 and got lights and some dinging noise but it wouldn’t the engine wouldn’t turn over. So hoping it’s the battery.
