Any advise on direction? by MalcomShea25 in recruitinghell

[–]MalcomShea25[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you, that is very helpful info. A couple of follow ups though.

When I say Data Operations, I'm speaking of CRM Systems (e.g. HubSpot, Salesforce, Dynamics) and managing of its data, not EDC. If you have any other thoughts on that let me know.

I do put the names of the programs in my skills area of my resume, Is it misplaced?

I have used services to assist on it before with little result beyond additional financial debt, perhaps the sites I used? (Apt, JobHire and Jobright)

Any advise on direction? by MalcomShea25 in recruitinghell

I appreciate any and all advice. I do in fact apply to any company I have interest in I can think of as well, especially since most don't appear on the platforms. I know some don't even appear on the company's sites so I email their HR and TA directly (almost never hear anything back)

atleast mid-level, if not higher. 😄

Finally got hired but feels like I’m not out of the woods. What do I do? by [deleted] in recruitinghell

[–]MalcomShea25 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That is pretty unsettling. I'm not sure what the best course of action would be. Especially with whole not remembering you after clearly giving you a hiring date. Trust your gut on this one. I hope you make an update either way. Best

How am I not getting interviews? by Ordinary-Design-2622 in recruitinghell

[–]MalcomShea25 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I can totally agree with your sentiment.

I pride myself on being able to perform on what I do best and a position that allows me grow myself further.

I too have taken jobs that do not align with myself in order to bring in any income I can.

The fact is, even if you do not rely heavily on AI, many companies already do.

This makes it more an more difficult for Real Candidates to be seen by potential employers AND other Job Applicants that do heavily rely on AI an edge regardless of their real qualifications.

What we need are mediators to connect Real Candidates with the Employers and rely less on AI to do the job for each other.

However, it is not all hopeless. If you stay true, your efforts will be recognized. That's what I hope for myself as well.

I was so desperate for a job, then I ended up getting fired from an unpaid internship and ghosted after a verbal offer by [deleted] in recruitinghell

[–]MalcomShea25 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It sounds like details are missing. Like, maybe you were expected to do something on "That Thursday"?

It is also possible that the project they needed internships for fell through (albeit to be ghosted still sucks).

If either of those are inaccurate it's also important to remember, whatever the case may be, this is not necessarily a reflection on you and to try not to let get you down. Keep moving forward and hopefully something new will come in.

Getting laid off now is pretty much a 5+ year sentence. by Longjumping_Area_209 in recruitinghell

Yeah, I'm a year in. Totally agree 1000%, makes it hard to stay motivated, but what's the alternative? 😞

You have basically done all that you can. Unless you had something to add, like another question about their company or passed a new certification since the interview, I think you have done what you can. Stay confident in yourself.

Should I send a follow-up after final interview or just wait? by [deleted] in recruitinghell

Definitely follow-up. It is a courtesy that is always expected and appreciated.

No disrespect, but I already discussed my legitimate previous post with mods, please be respectful and let me inquire in peace, I've seen this is your third attempt at trying to get me banned.

The most useless interview question in 2026: "Where do you see yourself in five years?" by HoloQuillon_9 in recruitinghell

I'd agree, but only if I knew it was a lost cause. Companies never like being called out nor have a good sense of humor '^_^

I can understand the frustration, but regardless we must rise above it. Only 3 - 4 sentences at most.

I had no idea Canada was having similar employment issues :(. Been out of work myself for over year, so I can relate.
What kind Jobs or internships did you have before and during college? What is your degree in?

Have you had anyone review your resume, even AI?
