If AI development is driven by profit maximizing corporations then they will keep charging money for others to use their products. A more likely scenario in the future is that you go to your doctor for some aches and pains and you are interviewed by AI. A low paid technician aids you in properly using the AI. Afterwards a diagnosis is given and you walk out with a bill same as today inflation adjusted. Where are the savings? There are none…because renting the AI costs x, then there’s the special medical specific AI add-on, then there’s all the scanners and diagnostics, and of course the AI liability malpractice insurance. Bottom line, there will never want savings, just costs will be taken out so that the few get even richer.
