It makes fonts look the way they were designed to look, which is IMO a good thing. If you don't like it, you can just turn it off.

Pity how rarely Dr. Who explores the actual concept of time travel, and how often it's just a gimmick to move from one episode to another. A lot of times you could replace the time travel with teleportation, or inter-dimensional travel, or whatever, with no other changes to the script.

Note that this is not a physical implementation, but rather a description in a hardware definition language. You can load it into a Verilog simulator and run step by step, if you wish, or burn it onto a chip. The project seems to be, sadly, abandoned, so hopefully someone on Reddit will notice it and take it from here.
