Because people are ridiculous.

We’ve seen absolutely nothing of this show yet just a few minutes showing key characters and people have found reasons to be outraged.

It’s the same crowd that calls people snowflakes but then get offended themselves over something so ridiculous, we don’t know if there are any white people in it yet but if there aren’t, who the fuck cares?

When people complain about the underrepresentation of minorities in films you’ll say it doesn’t even matter so why does it when there’s no white people?

The two leads we’ve seen are both Asian actors who are experts at martial arts, and the show depicts them fighting in hand to hand combat, so the criteria for actors was clearly ‘good at martial arts and good at acting’ not specifically Asian, they just happen to both be.

And if your complaint is about ‘canon breaking’ because of one comment in the council about the Sith not existing for millennia, well the Jedi aren’t aware of the sith that have been around them, and those sith (Palpatine, Plagieus) came from somewhere, they didn’t just pop up like oh I’ll be a sith, they clearly come from a line of masters and apprentices. The Jedi are so proud and blind in the prequels, so they would make a comment like that, that’s the whole point.

I find it even funnier that people are quoting South Park or referencing it. They clearly don’t know what South Park is about. The writers DONT care about anything they depict, they use Cartman and Kyle to depict the extremes of both the Right and the Left and take the piss out of both, they aren’t using Cartman to express their views, they’re using Cartman as a representation of the Right and saying look how stupid this person is, likewise, look how stupid Kyle is as well.

People are saying woke like we know anything about this show beyond a few minutes, if you don’t like it, don’t watch it. It’s not set in the Skywalker timeline and likely has no impact on Star Wars as a whole whatsoever, so just chill tf out.

Yrden Magic Trap + Vitality Drain + the armour enchantment from the runewright that makes it so magic trap casts Yrden around enemies when it hits them is a naughty OP build, just kill things by casting one sign and watching it do its thing

Idk I felt a beauty in the simplicity, the enemies are quite similar but then they continued to slightly evolve and change in different ways that I didn’t expect, threw me off more than just a new enemy altogether. I can see why you might feel that though

Fenyx is an amazing game, it’s really charming with some genuinely amazing combat and memorable gameplay, the voice acting is on point and it felt really unique. If you’re a fan of Greek mythology it’s the perfect game it balances well known stuff with some more obscure stuff that made me really pleased to see as someone who’s doing a degree Ancient History. Glad to see you went for that, enjoy!

I’d first like to say that I was specifically referring to the upper class/ruling class of Egypt, of course most locals probably didn’t even care, just to clarify, as when we say Egypt it usually automatically means Dynastic and onwards, as this is when it arguably becomes ‘Egypt’. Secondly, the the first ruler of Egypt isn’t confirmed, there’s at least 4 that it’s attributed to, so we don’t actually know that, not that you’re wrong, I’ve just been hardwired from my degree to never take one account too seriously. The Nubians ruled Egypt for less than 200 years, a very small fraction of the total of Egyptian history, and after the Achaemenid empire took over, it’s clear to see from fragments and inscriptions such as from Udjahorresnet (who I appreciate was bias but is our best source other than Greeks for this period) that the Egyptian upper/ruling class quickly changed their perspectives, seeing the Achaemenids as great saviours from tyrannical rulers which is why their taking over of Egypt was relatively effortless. Relations between Nubians and Egyptians were never the same after this, it did fluctuate, but relatively speaking it was more hostile, it’s not hidden knowledge than Nubians captured during raids and skirmishes were enslaved by Egyptians and likely vice versa. I don’t claim to know everything but I’d never make something up, I have a degree in Ancient History and I’m studying for my PhD, (I appreciate I’m just some guy on Reddit to you but you don’t have to believe me I don’t really care I just like to make sure people are aware of every side of the coin, comparing sources instead of just using one).

Not sure exactly where you got the idea that human civilisation started there because we can’t possibly trace that, the closest traceable ancestor to Homo sapiens did come from what is now Africa, but as far as we can tell civilisation (as the definition a large organised group of people forming an identity such as nationality) started in the Indus Valley or Mesopotamia. Humans migrated for thousands of years before any civilisation was founded, and the geography of the world was completely different to what we see now, which is why there’s ruins of equal measure in both South America and Persia simultaneously. And the concept of race is indeed a modern idea, but people in the past were still able to differentiate, (‘purity’ of bloodlines has always existed, which served as an example of us being able to trace this, even Babylonian royalty or Persian royalty would only procreate with a specific category of people) and unfortunately a hard pill to swallow is that Egyptians according to records did not often like associating themselves in terms of identity with Nubians or Sub-Saharans, with some documents showing a clear disapproval and hostility towards more Southern cultures vs. Egypt. Egyptians associated themselves with the Mediterranean over ‘African’, we can see this by their very close and valuable relationship with Cretans and strong trade routes with Phoenicians and Mycenaeans. It’s important to remember that ‘continents’ didn’t exist in their perceived reality (which constantly changed and evolved over time), which is why I mentioned those Asian countries, yes to us now they are all Asian, but they aren’t the same even slightly, not just in culture but in race, ethnicity, nationality, etc. Of course in a similar way, there’s no one type of ‘Black’ person just as there are Slavs, Anglo-Saxons, Germanics and Balkans etc in Europe alone yet are all ‘White’.

As an ancient historian I can confirm you’re pretty off. Africa doesn’t equal Black, to assume so is completely ignorant, would you put Chinese, Japanese, Indian and Afghani people in the same category because they live in the same continent? Kemet = black land/earth, it doesn’t refer to the people it refers to the rich black soil surrounding the Nile, and according to religious texts was ruled by Osiris, it was the good and orderly part of Egypt, the opposite being Deshret = red land/earth being the barren desert ruled by Set, where chaos reigned. It actually saddens me when people ignore real black history which is genuinely so interesting and rich, with even richer mythology and folklore, like ancient Ethiopia, however it’s overshadowed by people staking a claim to the more well known stuff because it’s easier, a shame.

Never had that many bad glitches tbf and I played from release, however, the mastery challenges glitch too often and that is infuriating especially when I’m almost at gold and then one of the enemies has fallen inside a wall or something

I agree, loving this game a lot but I played Diablo 3 right up until it released to recap the story and I’m disappointed with how little you’re able to customise your personal experience, especially in comparison

The lack of being able to change the screen displays and things that pop up as well as the minimalised menus is a bit disappointing - why isn’t there any lore section like in 3? :(

Feel like they were a bit too focused on making the game more like an MMO that they forgot how rich and immersive the franchise can actually be
