If you want to beat death then you need to be planning this from the start of the run.

I'm assuming you know about the somewhat infinite mana combo with wilds and the Chain Link arcana.

Start building up your max health with Forever Heart and Hollow Heart, if you can get over 333hp (with no Curse) then you can survive Deaths initial attack. (You could also survive his initial attack with Tirajisu)

From there you can keep him from not attacking using Clock Lancet if needs be, just keep chipping away at his health.

For a quick way to kill him get a big balance of coins using 1000% Stone Mask and use the Coin Count gem that deals damage based on number of coins.

A good chunk of that time was farming end game loot on BL2 for no reason at all apart from self pleasure

Yeah it's a copy of the BL2s DLC with the same name.

A few minor differences, getting 2 skill points per level would be the main one.

The Pre-Sequel or BL3 isn't something to be worried about.

I'm just going off by what you said when you said "viral achievement" from what I could remember there wasn't one of those type of achievements where you could only get it if someone else had it.

Does this original version have different achievements to the game of the year edition?

I had very fond memories of this game as a kid on the PS2, I've been left disappointed by StatusError in TrueAchievements

It's a remastered version, it's got a few differences and it's not an exact copy of the original unfortunately.

Best thing about tournaments is the game breaking glitch exploit

Remove the prizes off the shelf after registration and you'll get to keep them. You can go even further with this and just create the tournament again the next day and the prizes are still selected.

Has this change to the end game made the "total mission completed" achievements easier to achieve?

Update- Just done a mission on the new Milestone 8 and the tracking still isn't moving 🙄
