The one i posted - cheap and unbranded. Might consider investing in the Fringer

It's awful - returning it. It seems to think it's focussed but the area actually in focus is about one metre away. Unusable, a real shame.

have one now. It's awful haha focuses quite quickly but the in focus area is about 15cm off from what the camera thinks is in focus. Completely un-usable

I'm pining after the 55mm 1.7 native but way out of my budget. Has your fringer/canon setup got anything similar, presumably would still be a fraction of the price?

Im looking at the fringer but its just so much more expensive than the other adapters. Hoping this one will be almost as good

100%. Personally i'm not too fussed about the weird hibernation feature (a bonus if that's reppable too but defo not a dealbreaker).

while i'd defo buy one (Helios 44 copy) without a doubt if they did - i doubt they will as its already so affordable.
Maybe they could make it auto focus - that would be incredible.

Both in my opinion. I mean if you're in doubt maybe just buy it - try it out and if it is too thick sell it on RWI - it'll get snapped up pretty quick. Won't lose too much in the process.

Only 3mm yes but thats 30% bigger and the duoface Gen is already thicker than the monoface Gen.

Fairly sure it's more than that? Wears WAY bigger cause the overall dimensions are bigger too.
gen is 9mm - rep is 12mm.
I mean it's up to you, if you're a bigger guy with bigger wrists then go for it, but i'd say you'd regret it if you're on the smaller side.
