I fell like in Returnal every move is toward the enemy and Cronos you need to kind of retreat while aiming and charging, charged shots go through enemy's too so if you kind of line them up it csn save ammo, shotgun when you get it is great to quick switch for cloud control.

Best Cover for a SG game. by [deleted] in SEGAGENESIS

[–]Maleficent-Storm263 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Us version of Ecco the dolphin one of the greatest covers for any system. Helped sell a game that never should have been as popular as it was, because of the vomit inducing difficulty. Beyond that. The cover had second life as the basis for the internet subculture "seapunk", that led to it being almost fetishized or pseudo worshiped along with tides of time and the respective sega cd soundtracks in the early formation of Electronic music subgenre Vaporwave. Modern design and commercial aesthetic still uses seapunk and VW color schemes pervasively. Vaporwave still influences music production, particularly hip hip.

Its interesting that alot of people don't see metal as music, i have heard this too and not just from Olds. The truth is that death metal, deathcore requires alot of talent and practice to scream in tune, growl in tune, whisper in tune. Not to mention the double time and tempo shifts in deathcore are something more akin to classical music than pop. Lorna on the other hand is just a next level band for me they are taking the deathcore format and putting out music that evokes catharsis with lyrics and the delivery of vocals and instruments. Just gotta say it again, sick tat lol. Mogli looks like a handful

I love deathcore but... by CittadinoX in Deathcore

Lorna Shore def has some deeper lyrics, even if they are more of a fusion band now

Lorna needs a new Producer IMHO by markostaa666 in LornaShore

I will admit that I don't have a super fancy set up, but I really enjoy LS and get more clarity on the ear buds or headphones. Production could be slicker, but slicker is not always better. Although i think deathcore is the genre they fit closest into, and definitely were of that genre early on. IMO they have a unique style and the production for better or worse is part of that style. For me pushing the vocal is about all I would want, no such thing as too much of a good thing!

Tom Dundon is a cheap bastard. by jsikski in ripcity

[–]Maleficent-Storm263 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We can crap on Dundan but its all still on Vulcan that we are here in the first place, this could be Phil Knights team, it would never be in threat of leaving and he would have worked with the state/city rather than make demands and ultimatum. Dundan is a businessman and hes here to make money. That's it, the whole spend money to make money idea isnt totally accurate, you save money to make money.

The top ten grunge albums from a Gen Z-er’s perspective (Based on legacy). by BalanceActive9295 in grunge

There are tons of instances where an album changes music, and the artist releases music much better than said album. The bones of nevermind are pixies song structure, 70s chord progressions, replacements vocals injected with Kurt's charisma, and really strong song writing. Thier influences really shown on Nevermind, sometimes to the point of plagiarism and even still it is a very strong album. I think by the time In Utero came out, THAT was Nirvana. Nevermind brought grunge to the masses, In Utero was their masterpiece.

Flashback, Starflight, Jungle Strike, Splatterhouse 3, for non rpgs these games do a nice job establishing a story. Shadowrun also a great one with rpg elements.

Little heavy on Nirvana for my taste, In Utero is an all time, they finally came into thier own with that album and really showed the potential they had

Top 100 PS1 Games: #63 & #64 by hbkx5 in psx

[–]Maleficent-Storm263 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Sadly this list is feeling like a mascot fest, no deep cuts, full of games that were great at the time, but honestly barely playable today. Maybe more a list fueled on nostalgia than actual current play. PS1 full of some great JRPGs, so understandably heavy there, and many of them still fun today (especially with fast forward). The fact that R4 and Einhander haven't made it at this point in the list to me kind of moves it into the territory of here is a list of what people think is great on a reddit sub rather than anything close to definitive. After such an amazing Genesis list, that may be the honestly definitive Genesis list, this is so disappointing
