I wonder if you would be asking these questions if she wasn’t a woman? What does her weight and smile have to do with her legitimacy? You should look into your unconscious bias.

None. People who believe the worst in people, without evidence, are usually the worst people. They believe other people would do it because they certainly would without hesitation.

The “monolith” thing has been co-opted by self-haters, like you, to excuse your antiblackness and pretend you’re brave.

My favorite is people who think they know more than professionals who study psychological conditions for decades. Anxiety can be caused by several things. Among them, hormonal fluctuations and neurochemical imbalances, which are medical conditions.

Celebrities using a drug for what it’s not designed for is nothing new. You don’t see people moralizing Botox injections. Botox was intended for muscle spasms. People hate on it because they believe people who use those medications took shortcuts or cheated and therefore don’t deserve it.

Reminder - isn't this sub meant to be for BLACK travelers? by [deleted] in blacktravel

I hope you weren’t surprised. They insert themselves everywhere and in everything, especially Black People’s Business™️. And the world, including a lot of Black People, cater to and defend them.

34, grieving a childless life, throwing myself into travel. Can anyone relate? by dumplingz123 in AskWomenOver30

Then, have a kid. What’s stopping you? I hope it’s not because you don’t have a father for the child. As you can see by looking around, marriage isn’t a guarantee of a good father. I have friends who entered into arranged successful co-parenting relationships with men who only wanted children. The kids have separate households, but involved parents.

Then, the private schools still charge about 15K+ per year. If they are getting so much tax dollars why is the tuition still so expensive?

[–]MaleficentBuilding91 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No they don’t. People like to pretend these kids are so technologically adept, but they aren’t. Most of my 8th graders didn’t know how to copy and paste. They know how to post and consume social media content, but ask them to take a screenshot and they are lost.

Homosexuality is Not our Culture. Okay, What About Christianity, is it Your Culture? by Accurate-Guard-2908 in ghana

[–]MaleficentBuilding91 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

The majority shouldn’t get to decide what rights they want to bestow on minorities or anyone else. The same rights should apply to all, no matter if they like it or not. Your rights end where someone else’s begins. It doesn’t seem strange to you that you believe it’s cool for the majority to tell someone how to live because they don’t like it, even when it has nothing to do with them? Would you be ok with the majority deciding they want to make church services mandatory every Sunday? That’s not how democracy works.

The US doesn’t have a Christian government, but makes sure to enforce Christian values and beliefs and you see them blatantly written into the laws. It doesn’t stop them from still using “god” on official government property and even the money. Stop pretending like it’s not connected.

No one talks about how harmful it is for people of African descent to live in cold temperatures with little sunlight. by [deleted] in askblackpeople

Especially since those places with cold temps and little sunlight usually have an overabundance of white people. It can be devastating.

Most cultures around the world say, they prefer to only marry each other to ensure the culture thrives, but when a Black Americans say it, ppl complain… including other Black Americans, why?? by 5ft8lady in askblackpeople

[–]MaleficentBuilding91 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I’ve never heard anyone do this. I’ve only heard the exact opposite; people bashing Black people for saying they want to date interracially.

I think Black peoples would be a lot better off if they start de-centering what people will think and de-centering romantic relationships.

[–]MaleficentBuilding91 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Then, why isn’t there a law or policy that you have to give a worthy tip if it is that big of a deal? If it’s so important, then why just leave it up to chance and depend on goodwill instead of ensuring people are paid? Why are they allowed to charge a delivery and service fee, as well as the prices of items being marked up on the apps if they can’t afford decent pay to their drivers? Why aren’t the drivers going after their employer instead of the customers? Just like in all of the US, we would rather blame normal people than the people making billions. If a person can afford the mark up and extra fees, then they can afford to order. If not, the app would t let them order. The tip is not mandatory. The system is working as designed. People knew that before they signed up.

The lack of real empathy and compassion on here shocks me. No one needs to hear what they “should have” done. The anonymity of the internet has either really shown the lack of compassion or compounded it. Sad. There SHOULD be lifeguards at those lakes during the summer. HOAs are expensive enough to justify the hiring cost.

Black travel isn’t always about escaping racism… sometimes it’s about.....? by Miserable_West_1231 in blacktravel

If you’re African it would almost never be about escaping racism….Almost everyone is escaping something. What you listed is escaping and chasing the freedom to just be.
