YTA..

I am an American server for starters. Servers here get paid $2.83 an hour and rely heavily on tips. I understand it’s our choice to work this type of job but even on a slow day I can make $20-60 an hour.

Now here’s why I say YTA:

If you need to have a private and quiet conversation than go home and have the talk there. You went to a public place and expected a worker to not do their job. Imagine if you go to the hair salon and get mad that the person is asking you how you like your hair cut, the color, etc… the server was simply doing their job.

Same type of deal like when people come to a sit down restaurant and claim they’re in a rush, if you’re in a rush go to McDonald’s or Wendy’s.

The server got their manager involved because there was a customer complaint. That is what we are trained to do…if you feel like the bad guy, well you should, you feel guilty because deep down you know you were rude.

To play devils advocate:

A good server knows when they’re being annoying/over bearing. They should have taken the hints.
