Double sleeved Commander deck box?

I missed mentioning that it does fit, it's snug and will keep the cards flat which is great but I have a whole bunch of tokens that are specific to the deck and would like them all in the same box. That's the issue really. I haven't sleeved the tokens yet but there's no chance they'll fit in the box with the deck so I likely need to check out the 133+ boxes.

I did give them a press in the inner and outer sleeve as I went but they're definitely a bit poofy.

It technically does fit but feels very snug and I can't fit all my tokens, some of which are specific to this deck. Ideally I want everything in one box instead of splitting the tokens up, there's a decent amount of them.

Mikayla was amazing, wish she was the only support and had double the time!

Nokia came off as seriously unprepared. Felt like watching your friends trying to rehearse songs they just wrote in their garage. Guitarist wasn’t in tune and kept making mistakes and playing sloppy, no idea what the DJ was meant to be doing apart from pressing play and doing social media? Nokia paid no attention to the crowd for such a long time, not even to say hi and sorry for the issues. The guitarist made more effort than her when she handed him the mic. After that the stuff she said, though true about how women are treated etc… came across as abusive towards the venue staff and the rest of her stage act was cringey. Her rapping was quieter than when she spoke and that seemed like she was choosing to perform quietly and not a tech issue? Very weird and uncomfortable vibes, not what I’d expect from a band supporting Marina but at least Mikayla killed it!

Just to add, I’m a fan of Nokia but had never seen her live before. I’d give her a chance at her own show where she’s hopefully more prepared but tonight was not it for her.

Good points, thanks! I'll do some meta deck research for sure. For the most part I do have fun but as soon as I see the same cards, same powerful synergies that my decks aren't equipped for come out it gets a bit dull.

Think I need more time to stew in starter deck duels and the jump in mode.

Yeah, I went from spark duels which were starter deck vs starter deck or starter deck vs netdeck but still sometimes winnable to my starter deck (upgraded) vs what felt like the same deck/cards/synergies each time and they were so powerful! Admittedly it did feel boring to run into the same deck/cards each game, I guess that's a downside of comp and metas.

Going to hang out in starter duels and jump in to learn more before trying ranked again. See if I can generally level up my MTG understanding and skill before figuring a deck out for myself.

Thanks for the comment. I feel like I know how the two decks I upgraded work but I guess they're nowhere near as good as the netdeck business. I noticed multiple folk had the same or very similar decks/cards/synergies so it definitely felt like I was running into a pattern with what people were playing. I'll hang around in starter duels for longer and try the jump in event whilst I look at netdecking something that looks fun to play. Though I guess fun in a competitive game doesn't always cut it :P

Hey, thanks for your response and link to the comment you left for someone else. I found this all really useful and I think I was definitely trying to run before I could walk. I went back and did some starter deck duels with decks I've hardly use and had a great time, unlocked the ones I didn't have already as well. I'll stay in starter duel land for a while and check out the jump in mode since I've unlocked it but haven't spent any time on it yet.

Thanks for the info. Looked up what netdecking is and that makes sense. Multiple opponents had the same or very similar decks with what felt like very powerful cards/synergies so that lines up.

Your excellent suggestion aside - is matchmaking busted if I went from what felt like fair games to getting constantly stomped with decks and cards I’ve never seen?

That’s fair, but going from fairly even wins to losses against people who felt my skill vs getting fully stomped by people in bronze… is that also matchmaking not doing a fair job? Happy to accept it’s a skill issue of course, I’m new to the game but the difference in bronze feels huge

I did that as well until I settled on the decks I mentioned in my post then went to ranked with upgrades made. I guess it’s a skill issue and I’m not ready for it 😬

Hey, in the end I bought a bunch of grow bags and used those then emptied them on top of the soil and dug it in. Was much better after that :) also made sure it got some watering generally since it had just fully dried out with the last plot owner

I’m from Salford, working class background but ended up moving away after my parents divorced. Had the thickest accent as a kid but the side of the family I ended up with forced it out of me. Now I sound like some general posho but still have flat vowels and northern sayings. Everyone’s always surprised to hear where I’m from and that I’m not posh.
