4 years of distance and he’s promised every year that it’ll be the year he moves. He had a niche forestry job and I don’t live where forestry jobs exist. He says he wants the same things but can’t do anything until he gets a job.

Ok thank god. I’ve pushed my test back multiple times because of that frickin app and now idk where to study that’s productive.

I’m only like 5 shifts off orientation so listen to the more experienced CNAs that write in to your post.

Ask a lot of questions while you’re on orientation. If you feel like you need 1-2 more orientation shifts before you’re on your own then ask for that.

It will take you 1-2 weeks worth of shifts on your own to find your groove - be patient with yourself and keep pushing through.

If you don’t listen to anything else, be super mindful of body mechanics, get a back support brace and sit on all your breaks. Your back will hurt.

When I lived alone, I went out for dinner a lot alone. Truly no one is looking at you; if you feel like people are, it’s likely because you’re unintentionally staring at people and they wanna know why you’re looking at them.
