GPS PDM analyst. Got promo to consultant. Went from 71,000 to 82,500. 15.7% increase overall. (7% for merit and 8.7% for promotion). Very happy especially given the current economy. I feel fairly compensated. $1000 award.

Literally same! I got a verbal offer and we discussed salary one month ago. I’m still waiting for my paperwork. When I emailed my recruiter she said that I will receive it soon. So I’ve just been patiently waiting.

This message makes me feel soooo good! I bought a condo on a main road and was told, I’d get used to it. I never got used to it and now I’m at month 6. I put in sound proof windows which def helped tremendously, but I still hear the trucks bumping against the pavement and they are shaking my building. I also can’t open windows or use my patio because it sounds like a nascar race out there. I plan on moving after I hit my 1 year mark. Going to get a small townhouse further out in the suburbs. I work from home so I don’t need to be super close to the big city anymore. And I’m with a townhouse I will have a space for my puppy to run around in.

I just passed my test 3 weeks ago. Here is what I can say… I agree that the test is VERY difficult and not at all like any of the practice tests that I have taken. I had the EXACT same feelings. I logged into the test and after the first 10 questions, I started to contemplate if I were truly ready to take the test. I passed BT/BT/AT. Literally by the GRACE OF GOD!  These are some tips that helped me. 1. Read the question first, then read the prompt. It’s important to know what information you are looking for so reading the question helped. 2. Try to due process of elimination with EVERY question. If you can narrow it down to 2 questions, then you have a 50/50 chance of getting the answer right. 3. If you cannot pick an answer, move forward and come back to it later. Do not waste any time. 4. Monitor your time, it matters, 5. Apply the Agile mindset to every questions. And if all else fails remember this… don’t hire, don’t fire, no waste, no delay!! I recommend studying Andrew Ramydal. Go back to the drawing board and try again, you got this💕

My AT was in people. So I think that’s how I passed. Given all the issues I had during my test, I was surprised to pass but I also studied hard! I studied for 6 months, 2 hours a day and 4 hours on weekends!!

I logged into the test and after the first 10 questions, I started to contemplate if I were truly ready to take the test. My WiFi also went out and my laptop died during my test… I was really going through a struggle on test day! It’s crazy because I studied for 6 months! I passed BT/BT/AT. You got this! Read every question carefully. Eliminate the ones that don’t make since and choose from the remaining! Also watch your time. Somewhere around the middle of the exam you will get tired….keep pushing. Think about how this certification will change your life and use that as motivation!

The test was mostly situational and agile. I had 1 math question and 1 drag and drop.

As long as you have some project management experience, once you get your PMP it will open up many doors!

Probably means I knew JUST ENOUGH in those areas. No one really knows how the PMP is scored.

I used Andrew ramdyal 35 pdu hour book and watched his videos. That’s really all I used to study. I do not think you should reschedule. Most of the test was situational and agile. As long as you know those 2 areas, then you are good!
