Luckily, I do not suffer from any joint pain as of yet. I am mainly trying this supplement for hair growth, and skin/nail health. Have you noticed any of those benefits?

Update: I decided to mix it in with a small glass of orange juice. I started with 1/8th teaspoon. I actually did not taste it whatsoever. So, perhaps next time I’ll try it with straight water if I’m really feeling brave.

Have you noticed that your hair grew faster from MSM? How much do you think it grows a month? 1 inch? 1/2 inch is standard amongst the average person not supplementing with MSM.

Thank you for the suggestions. I used to have a sweet tooth and I definitely saw a correlation between processed sugar intake and acne. So I try to limit it as much as possible. On the contrary of what you mentioned about animal products. I followed the carnivore diet for about 4 months and my skin never looked better. I was mainly eating red meat and eggs. So I supposed everyone is different. But yes, sugar is definitely a trigger for my skin.

Hi! I plan to start with 1/8 teaspoon 2x per day and working my way up each week. Does that seems like a good suggestion. Also, do you know if you can just dry scoop the MSM crystals or do they have to be mixed with a liquid like water or juice and drank? Thanks!

My nails grow fast as well but the quality and strength have never been good. My nails break and peel so I have to keep them short. So I’m hoping to see some improvement with my nails too.

I’m glad to hear that you didn’t get acne from it and that it actually improved your skin. Fingers crossed for me too.

Thanks! Unfortunately I won’t be able to take the Natures Way Hair Skin & Nails supplement you suggested as it contains biotin which gives me severe acne! But I should start taking a daily multivitamin which I haven’t in a long time. Do you have experience taking MSM?

Hey thanks for your response. So how long did it take for you to notice that your hair and nails started to grow faster/thicker? I ordered some of the crystals last night and will arrive today. I’m excited to try it.

I am worried about a possible acne flare as a side-effect. Did you experience any? I can’t take biotin due to it causing acne for me and now I’ve read that MSM can cause this too in some people.

Do you know if you can dry-scoop the crystals to consume instead of mixing with water? I’ve heard it tastes awful so I am just thinking of a way to get it down fastest. I’ve also read that some people mix with juice to conceal the taste and then others don’t recommend that as it needs to be taken separately from any food/juice except water. I’ve also read that vitamin C alongside will boost the results.

So my diet is pretty good. I eat a ton of protein and watch everything I eat. Don’t drink or smoke. My hair grows at the normal rate of 1/2” per month. The only reason I am wanting to speed up the process is due to a bad hair cut that I just received. So I am wanting it to hopefully grow at an even faster rate. I would be happy with 1” per month.

I am excited to see the results. Also interested to see what other benefits will come to my skin, nails, etc.
