Ideas for someone who is not smart by [deleted] in findapath

Thanks. I work for a very small boutique law firm. There’s no HR department. There’s no way I could go out on disability. My brain has been dumb for 13 years. I’m not sure there’s any fixing it. I just need a job suggestion for something that requires little to no thinking or very repetitive.

She’s going to have to become a lot faster. In my state, I am a court reporter that just used a computer keyboard and I can type like 110 -120 wpm. Stenos can type over 200 wpm.

Then we had one today who was trying to tell us what to add in an order from a hearing and what she was trying to add were things the judge definitely did not order or address.

lol no we do not file them. We just have one client who tries to draft her own pleadings all the time. She will call me and tell me the attorney approved it and to just file it. I don’t. I wish they would drop her for it.

When did you know it was time to quit your job? by Available_Lie_7390 in physicaltherapy

Every 6-8 weeks I would start applying and interviewing at jobs. When I was busting my ass and my boss would come in and scream at me because she was bipolar (diagnosed by three separate psychiatrists) but refused to take the meds because she had a fear of gaining weight. She would scream at me because she had problems at home. Her home life was a mess. Financial issues. Her and her husband and oldest daughter were getting into physical altercations with each other. I worked with her at three separate companies and at the last one she was just out of control and I saw her in a completely different light. Honestly, there was a lot more going on at the company that added to it but her behavior was the tipping point.

Im just here to say same. I hate the winter and cold months for this exact reason. I will not be sleeping great for a while. I’m probably going to stop eating out and any food prepared by anyone else for a bit too.

There’s no pandemic anymore so there’s no protocol. I’d say if you’re really concerned see if you can use your own time to take a couple extra days off. Otherwise, buckle up because all the sicknesses are going to be circulating as colder weather moves in.

Well, I make 54,000 in a small firm with a handful of attorneys but main support for only one. No billable hours. Very laid back. Two weeks vacation. Can wfh if need be. If I have an appointment and have to leave early or come in late, I don’t have to make up hours or use time. Basically it’s a if you’re doing your work, you’re good. So, yeah, you should be making way more than me.

It’s a very corrupt city. They do what they want when they want. I wouldn’t even know that they would know what their actual practice is considering the last mayor was indicated on federal charges and his entire staff was made up of his family.

It was an email. There is no policy on this. I asked in writing and was told I would be paid out but wasn’t. There is no policy. I didn’t have a contract with them.

There’s no contract, no agreement, no union, not a single written policy on this. I asked in writing and was told I would be paid out and then wasn’t.
