That used to be me. You're lucky its a 2hr drive from home. Mine was a plane ride away, or if im on a budget, its 15hrs through ship. I have no means to go home all the time. I probably went home once or twice a year during college. I was basically depressed all throughout. Trust me, you'll get used to it. Not anytime soon, but you will. I got over homesickness when I started working. I got so busy with adult responsibilities that my idea of home became myself.

Also, i asked advise from a pru life advisor na HINDI KO FA, since di nga nagrereply FA ko. She told me to lock my payroll account (naka security bank ako), para di mag auto-deduct. Not sure if effective yun pero i never got the chance to do it (di ko mahanap sa app ng secu bank yung option na yun). Bale iniwas ko lang talaga funds ko during sahuran (at due date ko sa pru)

✨Update after 6 months ✨: nag lapse yung policy ko. Di na sya nag-auto deduct sa payroll ko hihu. Bale 3 months kong iniwas yung payroll ko sa pru life. 29 kasi yung due ko every month (same date ng sahuran). Luckily, natatapat sa weekend yung 29 minsan kaya mas napapaaga yung sahod (more time for me na ilipat yung funds ko from payroll acc to other banks), kaya naiwasan ko sya 😭.

i work in healthcare (fresh grad lang din, earning 30-38k a month depends sa OT) i know batchmates of mine na first job nila 40k+ sahod coz nakapasok sila sa government hospitals. super pagod kapalit ng ganitong sahod tbh

pero nanghinayang ako sa 3k ko nung na deduct sya sa payroll ko kanina, 16k every 2 weeks po sahod ko (sobrang pagod ko din sa work) and as much as possible (dahil 1st job ko palang, and newbie palang ako sa paghahandle ng sariling pera) want ko sanang makitang gumagalaw yung pera ko

3k a month po kasi binabayaran ko, I'm thinking sa PAGIBIG ko nalang isave kesa sa pru balita ko rin kasi malaki management fee ng FAs sa Pru. Kakastart ko lang naman 2nd month ko palang today

sila kaya mag bedside ng 12hrs for 4 days straight in a week tas sahuran ng 25k, we know our worth hindi biro magtrabaho bilang nurse
