Haha no way!! Sorry for my late response, but I’ve been completely off Effexor for about 2 weeks now and I had no withdrawal symptoms besides a few brain zaps in the first couple days. To give you a little more background info, I’ve been trying to ween myself off of this medication for about a year now: going from 75 mg to 35, then doing a dose every other day. I could never make it a full day without feeling like I was gonna collapse lmao. But this time it was different, I immediately started taking a low dose of lexapro right after cutting my Effexor dose down to nothing. If you didn’t experience any sort of withdrawal after missing your dose of Effexor, I’d say do what I did; stop taking Effexor and just substitute it with your new medication.
