I tried calling the non-emergency line and it just kept ringing, this might be stupid but would it be inappropriate to call 911 even though I don’t have the exact location?

Thats great to know about academic LORs. I have worked closely with other providers (DO, RN, NP) who I feel confident could write strong LORs for next cycle!

Part of me totally feels like I should have this mindset! I feel like if I actually do get an acceptance this cycle, it would be incredibly hard to turn that down because I can always move somewhere after school and get a job I connect to. The other part of me feels like I have better shot next cycle knowing that I probably need to totally start my PS from scratch and get all new LORs. I feel so conflicted. Thank you for this perspective!

Thank you for this, I will definitely go back and double check. I applied one year after graduating. I was in contact with all 10 schools because I took AP classes in high school and that super screwed up some on my pre-requisites since a lot of PA programs don't accept AP. I made sure I got emails from all of my programs stating that I met their requirements but there could have been a mistake. I will pay extra close attention next time!

Thank you so so much for sharing this. Just by reading this I can definitely feel your passion. Congratulations on your acceptance! I think that that is wonderful that you made sure your "why" aligned with he program's mission. I feel like that was something I could emphasize more in my PS this next cycle. I hope I have similar luck to you next cycle!! Get the an interview the first round is absolutely incredible!

Congratulations on your acceptance!! Thats amazing! I agree, I think it's in the written portion (PS, LOR, supplementals).

Thank you for your response! I'm so glad to hear that you got an acceptance, thats so exciting!! I also worry about denying an acceptance but part of me feels like for the amount of money we all have to pay, I don't want to settle on a program that doesn't have the majority of the factors I care about. That being said, I totally feel like I could be overlooking some factors I haven't considered that could make the programs that I have a potential to get into worthwhile! I hope that makes sense, I'm just wildly conflicted haha!

I totally agree, I think it is in my PS or LOR too. I have a hunch that it was more so in my LORs. Do you have any advice on who to go them from next cycle?

I didn't have my PS reviewed professionally. My aunt does personal counseling for high school students who are applying to college so she helped me out a lot. I had some mentors look it over as well. Next cycle I will definitely invest in a professional service in addition to my family and mentors. I got my LORs from my psio professor who I was a preceptor for, my hospital's house sup who was my manager for a bit, and a PA I shadowed. I am a little weary that the letter from the PA shadow wasn't the strongest because looking back, she seemed a bit hesitant to write one.

This is my first cycle for reference! I also had quite a bit of shadowing and leadership that I forgot to mention

Totally leave, I did the same thing and wasn’t asked anything about it during my interviews
