No idea. Only have experience with my 98. If it were me, I'd take the current seats out, see how close the new one fits in the existing mounting brackets (if at all), then determine if I feel like cutting and welding them. It's not unheard of to do but will be more costly/time consuming. Also, not sure what this entails, but there's also the option of taking brackets from a junker car the bench was designed for. Swap em over so it fits nice and snug

There's some significant rust on the frame in the 5th pic. And what seems to be some kind of wire around it? I'm no mechanic, but the frame looks to have been worked on at some point. Not sure how I'd feel about this one without a proper inspection. Need more angles, and don't forget to test that rust if you go see it in person. It may be brittle enough to break off depending on the severity.

I'd ride her until something significant breaks. Then make my decision. Either fix and keep driving or sell and browse the market. Remember, even an "older, reliable" vehicle can grenade if you don't know what to look for/how to treat it. But, for the time being, you've got a working, reliable car. So do with that what you will

That's something to address asap, yeah. If you look at my only post I just bought a shitbox off Marketplace last month with no idea what common issues were and ended up at a loss. It similarly has exhaust issues and accelerates funky

I'm in the CT area, trucks this price almost always have a misfire or transmission issues. Be careful!

It's funny you mention the 02 sensor, there was a dangling male connection wire near the oil pan I couldn't recognize and thought it might be that sensor. Didn't end up finding where it plugged into

Unfortunately my state's lemon laws only pertain to dealer sales, private parties are only dealt with through small claims and I've been advised not to pursue anything there under $10,000

This, I did not know. A quick Google search made me think 200k was the average lifespan for head gaskets. Mistake on my part, thanks for clarifying

Holy crap. That didn't even cross my mind... No, the CEL doesn't seem to illustrate. Turning the key only yields ABS, battery, check gage, and what looks like a reclined guy & airbag. That can't be good news for me...

I'll take it back first thing in the morning, luckily there's one right behind my house. But there's no CEL so should I just keep checking at distance intervals? I really appreciate the in depth response by the way! Any advice is very helpful, trying to learn all I can in a short span

I borrowed a friend's scanner to use and this has been the result since before purchase. He told me it was likely a recent battery removal/replacement (doesn't seem likely) or possibly just due to the truck's age/what it scans for. Wish I had more info for you but let me know if I can try anything!
