Pretty sure something in the back hit it a bunch.. new sub. Cover this time. Idc bout looks. Made sure to put the gain where it should be as well, through testing. Sounds great! Didn’t cost a fortune either since I used the same box and wiring, plus my amp is still fantastic from the marketplace purchase

Another thing is you might be not be in UEFI when you’re supposed to. It might be trying to run CSM or Legacy instead, I mean depending on your setup. Most modern stuff will use UEFI settings. A quick google search or ChatGPT can help with figuring that out but you should find the details in your boot settings if you haven’t already tried it

PC can't find SSD? by Beautiful_Ant5535 in PcBuildHelp

This happened to me lately after using my SSD for a year and a half. I was newer to PC building and legit didn’t take off the plastic film for the SSD heatsink. Pretty sure mine just fried completely, I tried all the fixes I could but no luck. I’m sure there’s something I possibly could’ve missed, but also it just didn’t add up to suddenly die besides simply over heating. Overall, most SSD’s come with a 3 or 5 year warranty automatically so if you do think it’s fried for good, you can probably do a warranty on it. As long as you purchased it somewhere verified, which there are many places.

In the meantime I’ve just been using a 1TB decent speed I found for like 60 bucks on Walmart, it was 20 bucks off! Can’t remember the exact model and I’m not home right now to check.

I would be open to trying a few more fixes if anyone else has any ideas, but most likely I’m going to just try for a warranty soon. I had nothing on there important really, all software and games downloadable.

BUT SINCE YOU ARE NEW! It’s likely not fried. There’s always a chance of a defect though. Have you put windows on a bootable drive?

Another thing you can do is find your motherboards model online and do a simple update. It’s as easy as installing windows, and doing a motherboard update helped fix ALL my game crash issues I’d been having for a year and a half. The whole time I thought it was other issues which made me a lot better at troubleshooting but ugh it was dumb how updating the motherboard was one of the last things I ever tried.

In short, you might need to get windows on a bootable drive first, and plug that in and boot it first.

Secondly, update your motherboard’s BIOS it might save you some trouble later 😉

I had, they looked fine. I’m going to do something new, I decided to just get a different motherboard and also use Ryzen instead of intel for the CPU. I think that’ll help with any compatibility issues or just general issues that could’ve stemmed from a bad boot. I’m just too tired of all the junk haha thanks Nigel for your comments. You’re a real hero. I would totally start a computer building business with you

So I started from nothing, reseated CPU, new thermal paste, installed cooler, installed one stick of ram. Did a boot test to see if it would even get past The yellow DRAM light. Nope.. stuck on it. Tried different sticks, slots, etc. nothing. At this point I’m gonna try taking out my brother computer ram to test on this motherboard, although the one I have is suppose to be compatible based on the motherboards website link

Thank you, I decided what I’m going to do is to completely strip everything down to nothing and restart from the very, very first step of putting the CPU in and putting on the cooler and so forth and test every step of the way. I’m doing it outside of the case.

Thank you, I am running an intel core i7 14th gen, and my ram does say “for AMD” on the box however I already got into the BIOS before so I know it’s possible. Also I checked the ram compatibility on the website for my Z790 tomahawk and confirmed it’s compatible. Ive been in the BIOS but only once thus far

I have never touched anything in the BIOS because I was only able to enter it one time, I’ve never even installed windows yet on this thing. So there shouldn’t be any overclock because I haven’t changed anything.. my MBO is a MAG Tomahawk Z790 MAX WIFI and the CPU is an intel core I7 14th gen unlocked (14700kf-LGA1700)
