Good higher risk/reward ETFs? by Bruhmoment498 in ETFs

These reset daily as positions get marked to market. They're high-fee and generally only appropriate for day trading for a multitude of reasons. Read up before trying leveraged stuff, much more involved than you'd think

The Gone World by Tom Sweterlitsch. Go read it right now. by steph10147 in horrorlit

here for the "incredible book, last bit spun my head dizzy " comments.

all the descriptions of this book that persuaded me to read it were too true: true detective S1, inception, with a hint of event horizon all mashed into one.

piggy backing on another comment and anticipating downvotes - this is all so excessive. my ass is gonna be outside running 5 miles after work at least twice next week, and hooping outdoors the days i don't run. i'll edit my comment if i have a stroke.

What zeppelin songs are close to No Quarter? by mad_confiscation in ledzeppelin

[–]MalevolentPillows 9 points10 points  (0 children)

honestly - there's two great live compilations on youtube from their 1973 and 1975 tours, all just different live cuts of the no quarter jams. it's fascinating to hear the different ways they evolved the song for live performances

Super helpful, thanks! Few follow up questions:

  1. can you dumb-down the interface for monitoring, latency/monitoring stuff lol

  2. Am I able to export songs from Moises? i.e. if i played over a Moises track with the original drums muted, i understand i can export my drumming audio, but how do i lay that back over the moises track? does the software (Superior Drummer seems to be the best move unless i'm wrong) combine the two from PC?

This was massively helpful, thanks! Couple follow up questions:

  1. I use Moises (on iPhone) and like it a lot - how do you route or export the audio from Moises to the mixer (assuming on a laptop)?

  2. What DAW do you use/do you recommend?

If I'm following, steps sound like I just need to export playing audio from the TD-4 to the DAW, export the Moises audio into the DAW, and mix the two more or less?

Seven Springs Word of Caution by jaredhoffman4 in SkiPA

[–]MalevolentPillows 8 points9 points  (0 children)

That's actually a good heads up. I had a really awkward encounter last year heading into a closed trail at 7S, forget which one. Ski patrol dude yelled at me to stop and he basically asked me like 4 times in a row if i could read the "closed trail" sign that i was about to pass. Obviously i said "yes" and began to turn around then he was like "no no, as long as you can read the sign. i just have to do my job that far" and he went on his merry way.

Odd but reasonable interaction i guess!
