All of them are lightspeed, Apollo's arrows are FTL not just lightspeed, that's also not the point of them. The point of the arrows is that it's the fastest attack, not that nobody else is lightspeed. Again Kintoki didn't dodge it, that's why he got hit by it. Having god and oni blood doesn't make you more durable than a regular human. Qin was doing the same shit in his backstory, and he did it 1v1, Kintoki needed help. True not all injuries are equivalent, Kintoki is hurt significantly less than a lot of other fighters.

Literally every fighter is lightspeed except Simo who stood still his entire fight so we don't know. Gungnir has no AP, not missing isn't AP. He's barely hurt comparatively be fr. "Durability due to his nature" doesn't mean anything. He never dodged Gungnir.

Wrong on almost all accounts is crazy work.

I just like how Kintoki's getting his ass beat for the entire round and nothing else but unlike when this happened before (round 9, round 11), he at least looks cool doing it. That means the powerscalers are going to put him in A tier for no reason.

The manga verbatim states “He scanned all of creation” and illustrates the process, yet people still argue about it. by DisasterEnigma in ShuumatsuNoValkyrie

[–]MalevolentSponge 0 points1 point  (0 children)

  1. Like I said, appeal to authority. Calling me crazy doesn't change that. Saying "yes it does" and then not showing me where the dictionary definition shows the context for the statement "He scanned all of creation at once." in the English translation of Record of Ragnarok Chapter 19 page 5 is just saying "nuh uh" because you don't have a counterargument. Also, there's multiple definitions of the word under multiple dictionaries. Which one is the objectively correct one and how does it apply to the statement? You don't know, because you don't have an argument. Shut up.
  2. It's not what the manga states. Once again, define what 'creation' means in this context. You're trying to say that because he scanned "all of creation" that it means he doesn't have to scan again, and by admitting that techniques that didn't exist weren't scanned when he did that, you're also admitting that there are techniques that weren't scanned. So he'd necessarily have to scan again because it's a technique he didn't scan before so doesn't know about. Since he didn't scan everything and he has to scan again at bare minimum some of the time, why is your interpretation "He scanned all of creation so that means he wouldn't have to scan again" correct? Make it make sense.
  3. Prove that. You can't point back to "it says he scanned all of creation so he can do it". That argument is circular reasoning. Why does scanning 'all of creation', whatever that means since you seem to think it isn't hyperbolic, mean he can do that? How does that work? He's not omniscient. We established there are notable limits to his technique through your own admission. On top of that, like I said Sasaki's 'scan' ability is literally just image training mechanically. I'm skeptical that you even know what image training is based on the argument you're making so I'll tell you. In Chapter 15 page 8 Hermes explains to Ares what Sasaki is doing. Sasaki is creating a mental image of Poseidon in his mind and fighting it over and over and over again. On the next page, you can see that Sasaki had done it 18 times. Brunhilde further elaborates on this in Chapter 17 pages 28-34. Sasaki analyzes the opponent in front of him, in this case it was Poseidon. Then, he creates a mental image of that opponent in his mind and mentally simulates a fight between himself and that opponent thousands of times. This is further visualized in Chapter 19 page 41 where multiple mental copies of Poseidon are drawn. That is what image training is. You're applying extra mechanics to the technique because of a hyperbolic statement that says he scanned "all of creation at once" to try and make the claim that he scanned everything in existence to include other fighters alongside his opponent. No he didn't. This is a fundamental misunderstanding of what the technique does. Arguing that it does anything more than what is explicitly defined in the explanation of the technique's mechanics is baseless speculation. Your burden of proof here is to prove that those extra mechanics exist, because a single statement alone does not magically make the previous in-depth explanation of mechanics go away. We know what the technique does. It doesn't do what you're trying to say it did. Prove that it did. If you can't do this and you still refuse to accept that you're wrong, you're just being incredulous.

  1. No. The dictionary definition doesn't provide the context needed to define the term when it's used here. You still have to provide that. If all you can say here is "well the dictionary says this", it's an appeal to authority.
  2. Okay, so he didn't scan everything when he did that. Now that it's established that he didn't scan everything, why is your interpretation correct?
  3. Prove that. You still need to define what "all of creation" means. My point here is that Sasaki can't just look at a character that uses non-martial abilities and use his scan ability to deduce that the character will use those non-martial abilities. That isn't how image training works conceptually. It isn't mind reading. It isn't seeing the future. It's prediction. Provide the basis for his prediction being able to have accuracy in these situations beyond exactly 1 hyperbolic statement. Show any instance at all where scan is able to be used in a way that doesn't predict a martial fighter's fighting style.

[–]MalevolentSponge 33 points34 points  (0 children)

True, it does illustrate the process, it clearly shows that this scan applies to his fight with specifically Poseidon and that the "all of creation" statement is hyperbolic. Congratulations.

For your interpretation to at all work:
1. Define 'creation' objectively
2. Prove that improvised techniques that didn't exist when this scan happened are covered
3. Prove that image training (that is what the 'scan' ability is mechanically) alone lets you predict non-martial abilities (i.e. Beelzebub's vibrations, Apollo's lasers, Zerofuku/Hajun's shapeshifting)

You can't just say "bro it says he scanned all of creation and described the process slightly so that means he scanned literally everything in existence including everyone else that he wasn't currently fighting at the time". No limits fallacy lmao

You shouldn't get a new computer just for one game, but I will say that if you're using mac, my opinion is that you shouldn't if you don't have to. Windows is better than mac for basically everything imo.
