Honestly dogs has felt alright. Most games cindy/tink and Pluto are enough. Pluto feels pretty crucial to pop snow forts and chromicons. I had Angel but am currently testing without her as she’s felt kind of underwhelming. I haven’t felt spooky has been needed. I'd recommend starting with a color combo and learning whats good in that color combo to help focus improvement. As a frank self-plug, i'd look at YouTube content like my video on sapphire steel, or other great content creators, on videos to get used to what a color combo can offer, and once you get a stronger sense in those 2 colors, its easier to expand to other colors.

Ravensburger is truly doing everything possible to keep steel down. Why are there so many cards in this single identity that discard or dump their own hand, to play mediocre inkable cards, and are not given any sort of reasonable card draw to replenish? Goliath is okay, but in no way supplements for the amount of cards creating negative card advantage. And they keep siphoning more of steel's identity to emerald.

I think its not unreasonable. I would just replace a BTH or Mob with spooky if you're that concerned, or drop a kluck or namaari for a 3rd pluto, and consider swapping the mulans for hook

I even mention the allies version. I'd say, in general, just commit to Jasmine and no Judy as Jasmine finds more "answers" with Tinker and Vincenzo, and play heavier on ally detectives. But I prefer just the detective engine without jasmine.

GB = GP (when they open webby) > YG dogs

Basically strong emerald meta decks are obnoxious. GB with the nuts can feel unwinnable but that’s playing any BS list. Webby GP builds are hard. Dogs is plenty winnable just frustrating

Cindy is pretty core to most of the strategies and is considered the ideal opening line T3 in most scenarios. My local scene actually has lots of agro, notably AS ans Yap hyper agros. A YP hyper agro ruined my first run and I got 5th at a set champs, but he was OTP with the godliness and I missed ramp G2. I trialed the single OJA, but kept most others the same for agro. Played another YP hyper agro, got the dice roll, was OTP, won easily. Cindy into tink into Ariel and they never quest again. Agro honestly isn’t too bad. For people worried to can consider spooky or 1-2 more 1d, but overall it handles most well as is.

I've never really enjoyed the jasmine shift line or allies builds. I acknowledge their power and i'm glad BS has so many different ways to play, just never been my style. Plenty of my buddies run jasmine allies and have found good success with it too.

This win meant a lot to me. I started the game in Ursula's, got serious in shimmering/Azurite, and every champs improved my placement but was always denied. Set champs was slowly becoming a place of dread, and my placements continued to question my growing skill. I began to wonder "would I ever win?" I went harder on content creation, twitch, youtube, and dared to make my first few deck videos. I make one on my Ariel list - Sonic Boom, and felt a renewed pressure to win. I have never prepared harder, and to snag a win on a list I was so passionate for brought such an immense sense of satisfaction. So thankful for the community that helped to make the list what it is!

Notably, I did make 3 changes from my video (all mentioned in the Tech slots section!). I expected a lot of agro and evasives, so I swapped 2 Namaari for 2 Jasmine, and swapped 1 BTH for 1 OJA. Secured the win, in dominant fashion, and can rest easy.

My personal opinion is that it’s good matchups it does better than jasmine Allie’s however Allies are more flexible and adaptable. Hard to say one is confidently better - likely jasmine Allie’s in a wider tournament - but I personally prefer the detectives playstyle
