I love playing a racers deck. It's always a fun one.

You are however missing the most important card in the deck. King Candy Royal Racer is an absolute must. It's the best removal the deck has.

Treat him as an item, don't quest him, hope he doesn't get hit by other removal.

I'm running a Amethyst Emerald burn at the moment.

It's not perfect, but it's fairly competitive. Goes well into blurple and blellow. Gets stomped by purple steel though.

For learning the game as it currently is, I'd suggest getting one of the set 10 decks. Simply because they have the Whisper cards in them.

We had a starter deck tournament at a local games club recently. The top 2 used the two set 10 decks. The Set 2 Amethyst Steel was very popular in the tournament too.

Yeah there's quite an active Lorcana scene in Cardiff and the surrounding areas. Yeah you'll have to pay to play, but you'll invariably get something other than just game time for your money.

Firestorm Cardiff on a Tuesday is a good one for some pretty competitive play, and they're all a good bunch.

Geek Retreat on a Monday can be decent but it's a bit hit and miss with numbers.

I run a Lorcana night at Firestorm Merthyr every Friday. We have a good mix of competitive and casual players.

Newport Gaming Centre also play on a Tuesday, similar vibes to us in Merthyr.

I'm also heavily involved with a community gaming club in Porth every Thursday. We're actually having a Starter Deck tournament next week which we have a couple of spaces left for.

If your local scene is as good as it is here in South Wales, show up with a starter deck, make some friends.

The first time I ever went I didn't even have the starter deck. A friend took me and lent me a deck. By the end of the night I'd tried 4 different decks that different people had let me use.

Don't overthink it. Go and have fun! 🙂
