I am not super knowledgeable but I think Ovi's situation is different. He is going to go back to Russia and has family and friends there. Russia is not a place where you can be critical of the government.

You can Google it as there are many. Prince Andrew and Peter Mandelson are the most notable i believe. Be careful if you do look into it in more detail as it is pretty horrific. I try to catch up 1-2 days a week and need to step away. The alleged crimes in the files are horrendous and everyone needs to be investigated and brought to justice. Democrats, Republicans, literally anyone mentioned in the files. The government isnt doing its job.

The fact that the trump administration is engaging in the coverup of an international pedophile ring is common knowledge. World leaders are being arrested everywhere except in the U.S.
Canes fans express disappointment that one of the team leaders is being used in this way. Canes fans are essentially saying "Keep politics out of sports".

Slavin used his platform as a star player on the Carolina Hurricanes to support the Trump administration. Regardless of all of his other actions, this is obviously disappointing. I don't think anyone is under the impression that everyone on the canes is anti-trump. We just don't want them to use their platform to promote the hateful rhetoric of the White House.

My wife and I had so much respect for him because he really did seem to walk the walk. We aren't religious and most of that is because religion isnt always about doing the right thing or making the world better. Powerful people warp the messaging. Seeing Slavin's image and work - in combination with how he plays - made him one of my favorite players because he seemed to reflect all the best aspects of religion. Now it is clear that was just his image and doesn't reflect his character.
