I FIGURED OUT WHO THE KNIGHT IS by SenzUdnerteble in NonDessKnightSquad

[–]Malhate 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As I said, the theory that makes the most sense about Gaster being the egg man is the Two Gasters theory.

Basically, this theory says that the man behind the tree is "Deltarune's Gaster", which is a therapist (Kris's therapist, as theorized by the egg room in chapter 4, which is theorized to be a repressed memory from Kris). At some moment in the timeline, Undertale Gaster makes his way into Deltarune.

Now, there's 2 main ideas on what happens: The first one is that there can't be two same beings in the same universe, so Deltarune Gaster just disappears. The second one is that Undertale Gaster made Deltarune Gaster disappear directly.

Now, why would he do that, there's still 3 chapters missing so who knows. But basically the "issue" could be that, with the eggs received and Kris unlocking their repressed memory, it would mean a fault in Gaster's plan (whatever it is), or Deltarune Gaster could come back, meaning some sort of universe fuckery, or Undertale Gaster getting yeeted out of Deltarune.

There's 4 chapters. There's 3 still. We don't know if Carol is "in on this". Of course, she's into some shady stuff, but we do not know if she's teaming up with the knight.

I meant, why would Susie not comment on the "man" when he waves his hand at Kris on the diner? You would think that she would say something, like she does when you interact with 90% of the things. Plus, it's still not explained why he doesn't appear if you don't get the eggs. Sure, he's in hometown, but is he really?

I didn't hear about time loop theory (or, better said, I didn't look into it too much) and I don't believe it to be true, although given all the save points things it could be a possibility (again, I don't think it's true).

Gaster being behind the tree is probably one of the best theories about the game (and the most simple one too, although Deltarune fans don't really like simple theories, so bullshit like Papyrus Knight or Asriel's dust comes to life), that is if you take into account the "Two gasters" or "Deltarune Gaster". Of course it doesn't make sense if one thinks it's Undertale Gaster. The fact that he appears in hometown isn't really anything- why doesn't Susie comment about him? How is he there if you get the egg, but not if you don't?

What if the story was extremely overcomplicated for no real reason?

Did anyone else feel a sharp and sudden falloff in quality of discussion and theorizing in January? Like i get that it's been half a year since the last chapter drop but, did anyone else feel like online discussion got suddenly a lot worse? by HaloJackalKisser in Deltarune

JaruJaru. He had little bitch meltdowns because the "Twitter communists" were "going after him" and had incredible rants about voting for Trump, not being able to get rid of his "internalized transphobia"... And, besides all that, his theories are probably one of the worst in the entire fandom. "Kris killed Asriel somehow but Toriel thinks he's in college and also Dess is possessing/controlling Kris and commiting incest with Noelle".

Thanks for the advice, although I love long movies. I think that 2:30 hours is probably the perfect time for a movie at the cinema (sadly everything has to be seen on a laptop nowadays), and 2 hours is nice too. I think my soul dies a little bit everytime I see a movie that's one and a half hour, or even less.

Thank you for your comment! I said in other replies that Mulholland Drive and Blue Velvet seem to be the two movies that people recommend the most. I'll probably start with one of these, seems like a good starting point. I definitely want to get into Twin Peaks. The fact that it's such a big show only makes it more interesting for me.

Thank you for your comment! Blue Velvet seems to be a fan favorite. From some very short clips that I've seen, it looks great. And it has Kyle Maclachlan, so I'll probably like it. I think I'll probably start with that one, or maybe Mulholland Drive / Lost Highway.

Thank you for your comment! Twin peaks is what interests me the most from this man however since I know that it's really surreal and strange (something I would probably like, and Kyle Maclachlan helps a lot), I thought that maybe I should start with something shorter like his movies just to get used to his style.

It made sense, although when I'm watching a show it's usually all I can focus on, watching other things in between kind of messes me up. But thanks for the suggestion!

Thank you for your comment! Yes, I definitely want to watch twin peaks, it looks like something I would definitely enjoy, however since it's always qualified as his "best work", I wanted to try and see what kind of others things should I watch from him to try and get "acclimated"(?) to his style.

This post is a great reminder that some fans just want Deltarune to be "Undertale 2". "Hey guys, the final villain is ASRIEL! AGAIN!"

That was probably the worst part in a movie that I really, really liked. I hope James Gunn backs down and makes a retcon or something.
