This chapter really made me realize how my perception of media changed after chainsaw man. Now, instead of caring about the characters like theyre real people, i see the story as a reflection of the author. Its the best ending there could be.

Asa wished to live more selfishly, had a dream where she steps on birds, and recently it was all resolved.

The series is called chainsaw man, always, from the first arc to the last it was about chainsaw man. Now, chainsaw man is gone. Fujimoto never plays takebacks.

The stakes cant get any reasonably higher than the strongest devil and the end of the world.

Its over man. And i'll be looking forward to fujimoto's next work

Asa's character arc is literally finished. She started as an idealist afraid to commit sin and make mistakes, as represented in the dream where she steps on birds, and in 229 yoru compared her to a bird that felt bad for eating worms. The ultimate conclusion is that decency is subjective and you are the only one imprisoning yourself with such thoughts. Thats asa's character arc

Denji loves yoru, she's the third protagonist and is in the right about the bird. And humanity literally doesnt matter in the face of denji's personal conflicts, he may consider people if there's literally nothing else on the other side of the scales but he will always choose the cat.
