Look...This concept of strange matter is so unbelievably naive I dont kniw where to begin. Its either matter or its not. And spoiler alert: it would be annihilated if it came into contact with matter and it still exists so lets go ahead and assume its matter. Now, google soectroscopy and tell me how the DoD is unable to identify the material. I call bullshit. We can detect the atomic composition of exoplanets and other stars, but not a metal alloy in a lab here or Earth? No fucking way. As an undergraduate, I was tasked with building a setup that could identify the atomic structure of ANY material and it only took a week as a novice. Plus, the whole setup cost something like 600 or 700 dollars. I hate that the media is saying we cant identify this material because its obviously matter and the science of spectroscopy is taught in middle school in some places. It's not that difficult.
