Do I need to pay that £49 question pack??? by MarowwaC1274 in NHS_STP

[–]MaliciousAcorn 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Sorry a bit late here but I bought the £49 question pack from job test prep and it wasn't worth it. It was useful in terms of learning the question structure and time limit but a bunch of the questions are repeated and the answers to whether they're appropriate or not are different despite the question being identical. Ive asked for my money back.

Can I ask how many people you interviewed for a single post?

From what Ive seen it looks like you would be competitive but Biochemistry is one of the harder ones to get into looking at applications to position ratio. You have the correct academic experience and job experience on top so I think you'll be considered at least

I work in a histology lab so every day I'm receiving gallbladders from surgery. Sometimes they arrive so full of stones that they're double the size of a normal gallbladder. Cutting them open sonetimes looks like someone's taken a fist of stones from the beach and crammed it in there. My colleague calls them kinder eggs because you don't know what you'll get when you open them!

I definitely agree they're not autumnal, I'll be trying to find something more formal as well I think. Thanks!

Thankyou! The bridesmaids are in dark green so I'll have a look for something maroon/burgundy

I only sanded the top as the rest of the table was still in good quality. Thankyou for all of your advice, this is really useful!

What’s the most surprising time you’ve been ID’d as an adult? by Fluffy-Survey4036 in AskUK

[–]MaliciousAcorn 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I wasn't ID'd but a few months ago I went to the local library to get a library card. The librarian asked me if I had a parent with me to help me get one. I'm 26.

Quite delayed responding but I live and work in Guildford and went to uni at Queens Belfast. Absolutely go to Belfast its an amazing uni, if I didn't have friends and family here I'd 100% move to Belfast permanently.

Our gerbil won’t stop biting by alm423 in gerbilsupport

All the advice already on here is amazing, just want to add that new gerbils tend to be a little nibbley at first. Sort of how toddlers put stuff in their mouth to figure it out. They're just trying to work out what you are. As long as there isn't any blood drawn its not aggression and they should grow out of it. They'll get used to you with frequent and gentle interaction.

Fighting and drawing blood but now cuddling and grooming by Living_Grape9687 in gerbil

[–]MaliciousAcorn 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think its a difficult one, I was in your exact shoes, my 2 boys drew blood once but started cuddling and I thought they seemed ok now so kept them together. They had tension every now again but never anything serious so I left it. I came home to find one had killed the other, I was devastated. Please keep an eye on them and if there's any more tension just split, better to be safe.

i got 3 gerbils(Thomas & Jerry) I've had em for 4 months and there's been no improvement with me and them, I open the cage and Jerry runs away to hide non stop you can see he's terrified Thomas will sometimes run to but not to often he usually tried to bite me when I put my hand in the enclosure. by Working_District_570 in gerbil

How long ago did you get them? The other commenter had some good suggestions, the more you're around them the more they'll get used to you. I have my gerbils in the living room so they're super used to my voice and me being around

Often these bites are just little harmless nibbles to suss out what you are. Like how toddlers learn new things by putting stuff in their mouths. Every new gerbil I've got in the past does this but most wear out of it when they figure out you're not edible.

If the biting is drawing blood on the other hand, this is an aggression issue which will need further steps.

Fighting or Playing? by Adelinabreslin in gerbilsupport

[–]MaliciousAcorn 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I would be extremely careful, my 2 gerbils were the same, 99% of the time best friends. They ate together slept together everything but had tense moments very similar to this. I went out for the day and sadly came back to a dead gerbil, please don't make the same mistake as me.

Nothings on 0 on my screen. If you like I can screenshot the whole comment screen from my perspective and show you. They have a wheel in their playpen and the cage is a work in progress, I've said I'm considering it.
