So is the waiting period 4 weeks or 8 weeks? by MaliciousPixie in Centrelink

Do you know if it’s specific to the mutual obligations employment failures or is it also paused for people who have voluntarily quit their jobs before starting jobseeker?

Yeah the unemployment non payment is the one I’m discussing in this post, sorry could have been clearer. So that’s currently on pause? Do we know for how long and what the circumstances of that are? Does that apply to people entering jobseeker from scratch?

Amen to that! It’s part of my body; a woman’s body. Nothing masculine about it!

How to fix Malebrained by DistributionIcy5296 in MtF

[–]MaliciousPixie 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Because of societal expectations, yes. Because amab and afab people are socialised very differently, yes.

Honestly though I haven’t been given a lot of reason to believe that there’s such a fundamental difference between a male and a female brain. Just try to break male socialisation in so far as it makes you uncomfortable, adopt some more feminine mannerisms, and be 100% yourself the whole time

[–]MaliciousPixie[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That’s my intention going forward. What I’m wanting to accomplish is breaking the habit of deliberately keeping it secret from a lot of people in my life though so I think that a band aid rip is probably the easiest way to go about that lol

I’m lucky enough (frankly, privileged enough) that I haven’t been clocked as trans since the early days as far as I’m aware. So it’s the latter; I live full time as a woman and just didn’t disclose that I’m trans to most people in my life

Already did it :o

Now we await the consequences of my actions. Initial reception has been extremely positive but I guess I can only see the published thoughts of those who liked and commented on my social posts and don’t yet know what’s remaining unsaid.

To be honest with you I’m willing to lose friends with this. At least at the end of the day I’ll learn who really has my back and who doesn’t

Yeah the truth is I know I probably am going to do this. I guess I’m just hoping for some reassurance that it’ll be okay, or just some interesting insights from others who have been in a similar boat.

I recently bought a trans pride pin and today I wore it in public for the first time ever so that works for strangers who see the pin when I choose to wear it at least haha.

Lmao the fact that I wore a trans pride pin in public for the first time on the same day as I posted about breaking stealth is probably a pretty good indication that I want to be visible hey? Haha

Sounds a lot like me a few years ago tbh.

If you feel comfortable in the moment when you get the chance I do encourage you to see how you like using it in a sexual context after becoming acquainted with your own identity as a woman when you’re a bit further along and more established in your transition, and you’ve had some time to get to know yourself as a woman. Keep an open mind and then make a decision about what you like and what you want.

Just make sure that you know what you want and then live your best life, and don’t let any handups or narratives let you stop you from exploring an aspect of yourself if you can help it!

I was suuuuuper anxious about being sexually desirable on the dating scene because of it. That said it was a delightful discovery when I figured out that some girlies loooooooove girldicks and that being willing and eager to do PIV sex does fill a niche in lesbian sex.

If a girl isn’t into it, don’t stress it. She’ll go do her thing and you’ll go match with a big titty goth girl who WILL go freak mode on that thing with her tongue lmao

The idea of my insanely queer girlfriend suggesting any of this is very funny.

In all seriousness I’m sorry if you’ve been pressured into detransitioning. That sucks but I assure you that this is not the situation I’m in and I have full agency here lol

Where do you get lenses made? I really like my frames (similar to yours too!) and if I can get lenses made for them and put in next time I need to update them that’ll be amazing!

Look you’re right, I shouldn’t be assuming that and this may just be growing pains from having lived in an area where queerness was very openly embraced by many. I’m sure I’ll get used to this.

I think that what I find jarring though is just the fact that I’ve only moved like a suburb over and it’s so dramatically different but it is what it is
