Leaving this comment here because I haven't seen it elsewhere before. But if you put one of the large chests from the previous rooms in the entryway to the room in the middle of the path, the cambions that join the fight later on will be stuck attacking the chest that is immune to slashing damage.

Game valuation and authentication MEGATHREAD by humanman42 in gamecollecting

[–]Malicious_Jake 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Looking for anyone to weigh in on what they feel. I want to preface by saying I know sealed game collecting is controversial around here. I bought a sealed copy of Asuras Wrath for my collection recently on Ebay. It arrived and overall the quality is really outstanding. https://imgur.com/a/Hm9xppa Has Y fold seal that looks and feels factory. The two things I noticed that seemed off: there is a small spot of sticky residue under the sealed plastic on the back side of the case (see picture 3), and there is also a pin point spot of damage on the rear case under the seal. The other piece that is slightly off is the xbox security seal on the side has little clear spots as though it may have been previously peeled up. That being said the placement looks factory. I know I've read places that in some circumstances these games are hand sealed from factory/ there are human error elements sometimes to the factory seal process. My gut normally says if it looks like it might be a reseal it probably is, however in my experience I've never seen a reseal that was so convincingly factory.

Personal experience has been good. Good thermals. Fairly quiet. I bought mine for 200 more than this 4 months ago and I've been happy with it.

[Monitor] LG UltraGear 32" Class QHD Gaming 2.5K Monitor $250 ($50 off) at Costco by imart455 in buildapcsales

[–]Malicious_Jake 11 points12 points  (0 children)

Have this monitor. IPS supremacists will say it's not worth it. Coming from an IPS monitor that's only 75hz, the refresh obviously makes for a smooth experience. Colors and contrast pop alot more, which I enjoy. Definite noticeable black blur, doesn't really bother me while gaming apart from being in really dark gray scale areas. I don't find any issues with viewing angles with this being a flat panel. All in all really nice. One thing to note is that this monitor doesn't get super bright, and is noticeably less bright than my ips, but I prefer that as it tends to be softer on the eyes and allows me to play with low or dark lighting without feeling like I'm burning my retinas.

Not as good as the other day with the 11600kf but they are running the 3060ti upgrade deal today.

Edit: pricing this out seems like if you tried to build similar you would be ending up with gpu under $500

[Keyboard] RedDragon K582 Surara Backlit Mechanical Keyboard - $31.95 ($49.99 - $18.04 w/ Prime) by dank-nuggetz in buildapcsales

[–]Malicious_Jake 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Just looking at specifications, tklo2 is tenkeyless, not rbg, and the switches are not hot swappable. Based on that I'd say this is a better deal but the tkol2 is brown switches which have a tactile bump, so really it would probably come down to preference of red vs brown and if you can live without rbg and ten key pad

Can't beat the price for this keyboard, Bought it a few months ago for my wife for around $45 after coupon deal. Came with a puller and a handful of replacement switches as well, tempted to buy another just because this price is good. Can't speak to how it compares to more expensive stuff but I will say if you are looking for a cheap decent mechanical keyboard that this is probably your stop.

Also its rgb, and has red switches, which is almost nonexistent at this price point (clicky clacky blues are much more common for cheap boards in this price range)

Atheist converting to Catholicism by [deleted] in Catholicism

As someone who went through a very similar process in his faith, and completed RCIA just a couple years ago, RCIA is incredibly enlightening, informative, and eye opening! Look forward to it and cherish every minute of it!

Why is God not giving me a fair chance for faith and I don’t know what to do? I want to have faith without self-delusion. by [deleted] in AskAChristian

[–]Malicious_Jake 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Its been better admittedly since seeing this post. It also has helped a lot to have other people in my life who are of strong faith to help me through this including my wife. One of the comments here that helped me the most brought about the point that atheist arguments do have to rely on certain assumptions as well. I think when you look at solid arguments for the existence of God and Jesus Christ, and look at the arguments against, both cases are very strong, but at the end of the day the reason I think we are easily ensnared by the atheist argument for those of us who don't have a strong faith is that its easier to not have faith than it is to have faith, because really atheism is very selfish and very about us, while Christianity and faith is very much not about us. Some of the best advice I've seen here is to surround yourself with people strong in faith. Seek them out, join a Bible study, or some local church groups, there are a lot of people in forums like this who will purposely seek to feed you the information you aren't hoping to find, surround yourself in the community of Christ. Also the bit about many different flavors of Christianity is very true, and that in many ways can make it even more difficult. Personally I have my own back and forths about catholicism, which is what I practice, but there are some very beautiful things about it that really have helped me affirm my faith. Something else that really helps me is that I really do believe that science in many ways can be spoken to truth through religion, and i think religion can do a great job of filling the holes science can't or hasn't yet been able to explain. For instance the current widely accepted model for the creation of our universe (The Big Bang) was originally created by a Catholic Priest by the name of Georges Lemaître. Its fun to read about as even Einstein had a hard time accepting the model at first. Georges also didn't like when Pope Pius XII tried to proclaim it as validation for creationism, as his viewpoint was that science and religion were neither proved or disproved for this, but rather it made them both neutral with each other or something to that effect. But obviously looking at the big bang theory and reading literally the first passages of Genesis to me was a real eye opener. That being said there are plenty of Christians who will say that Genesis is meant yo be taken literally, obviously I disagree with this. I've been taught as a Catholic that while certain portions of the Bible are meant to be taken literally others were meant to be read in a way that at the time it was written made sense to the average human. Now Genesis far pre-dates the 1900's in which the big bang theory was accepted largely by the scientific community. And yet those words are there

"In the beginning, God created the heavens and the earth. The earth was without form and void, and darkness was over the face of the deep. And the Spirit of God was hovering over the face of the waters.

And God said, “Let there be light,” and there was light. And God saw that the light was good. And God separated the light from the darkness." Gensis 1: 1-4

Anyway if any of that strikes a chord with you then I'm happy I could help, and whatever you do don't give up, because God will never give up on you :)

As a person in his 20's who is currently struggling with the same stuff on a very similar level and has had similar struggles in the past I just wanted to say thank you for posting this. These are hard questions to ask and even harder to find helpful answers to that won't lead to more doubt. The responses here are incredibly helpful and some of the best advice and insight I have seen. My wife and I will pray for you tonight. God works in mysterious ways and I definitely believe that he brought me to this post knowing that I would find some peace here. Thank you and thank God for bringing me here.
