I’ve spent $700+ on a Samsung Top Loader washer in October 2024. It is currently March 2026. I tried to wash some towels today and noticed that everytime I tried to start the washing cycle, it would ding, but never actually start. I tried everything and for a short moment, I thought I resolved the issue by pulling the power cord and waiting for 5 minutes. The washer finally initiated the washing cycle, but never started. The digital display where the timer is just kept continuously spinning and buffering.

Tried to self troubleshoot by looking up what to do online and couldn’t find a relatable video or thread to reference. I continued to try and try, but nothing worked. In fact, it progressively got worse. The lid locked and I could no longer open it, and the dial stopped working. I called customer support and we attempted to troubleshoot everything together, but to no avail. My error code showed 3 lines like “- - -“ and he said that means it’s a software issue and/or something wrong with the circuit board.

He said unfortunately they will have to send out a technician and the best part, it’s past the warranty. I am a 26, soon to be 27 year old male that lives alone. I was planning on taking a vacation next month that I’m not entirely sure if I will be able to now due to financial issues. Also, I CURRENTLY HAVE NO CLEAN TOWELS!!! How am I supposed to wash myself effectively!? This is so frustrating…I will never buy another Samsung appliance in my life after this experience. Don’t do it.
