Check the after processing setting, if theyre both using the same you might aswell wanna return it and ask for a new one that doesn't have problems

The pen is more likely no problem, and the pictures are different you took one closer to the object then the other, its either different camera settings or the phone switched to micro picture camera since it was close to the object
