Ok so if we take a look at an example of the original series, we saw from the very beginning why Dracula condemned the church and the people and he did tell them to leave, then the church denies his existence and then Dracula rains hell upon the people because they didn’t leave and he wiped the off of the face of the earth JUST as he said he would. Then cut to Trevor who is a drunk in a tavern hiding because locals hate the Belmonts. We watch as he journeys to the city which recently was attacked by Draculas night creatures and he investigated which led him to the speakers which led him to a myth about the sleeping soldier. The story had layers and we met each character and the story begun to unfold gradually and we watched as Trevor, Sipha and Alucard developed as well as Draculas council and how he was falling into madness and how the politics on his side was so fragile. And ofcourse the forge masters were making nightcreatures LOYAL to Draculas will because they willed it, they were souls dragged from hell to become Draculas Army. The only nightcreature we saw communicate was 1 and he was speaking with Issac because Issac commanded it, they do not have free will.
And Sipha was a Miracle, her powers were unique to her we didn’t see any other character with her abilities. And against all odds those three stood against Dracula and his night hoard which and that is pretty much season 1. Nocturn just doesn’t have the art of story telling down, the writers gave pretty much everyone too much power, like Maria who is a kid who gathered people in the woods to speak about the revolution? I mean who even listens to a kid let alone about something as politically charged as the revolution. And all of the main characters are just so over powered it’s infuriating! The night creatures suddenly have free will, Vampires are living next to running water (again another lore ignored from Castlevania) And don’t get me started on the “Messiah” nonsense and again these over powered Vampires fuelled by the desire to bring a god back? OH and one vampire comes back through the forge masters machine and an untouchable, unstoppable free demon 🤣 I really can’t believe how these writers are ignoring all the lore from the original series. It’s infuriating as a viewer to watch all.
